This device is so gorgeous with 6.6mm thickness and that gold chasis is doing justice to this tablet to make it appear elegent. I thought this was a phablet when i saw the picture because of the smartphone-like design and the thinnest of its body. The bezel is really slim too. How much is this in Malaysia? Im from neighbouring country.

The tab auto upgrade to Android Lollipop 5.0.2 OTA (on the air) yesterday. Around 925MB data is downloaded to the tab.
So far no problem.
Coincidentally, I just brought back my Tab S yesterday from Samsung service center due to suspicious on the battery life issue.
The service center just replace the battery and the charging port for me.
They found out the battery information is not correct, and the tab sometime cannot charge properly.
Well, I hope the new battery will fix the issue, together with Lollipop update, enjoying using this tab, as a smartphone or a tablet.
Encouraging people who suspect their Tab S with short battery life go to service center for a repair while the Tab is still under warranty. (owning this tab for around 8 month)

I am regular user of tab S 8.4LTE. I never wanted to post a review but after reading so many negative comments I decided that I should share my feelings with the world.
In simplest word, this tab is amazing. I heard some people arguing about the battery life and performance but all I can say is, (my model is SM-T705) this device gives me a full day battery power once I charged it. I am using the mobile data connection all the time. I do lots of reading and browse the web and occasionally play few videos or watch a film on this tab. After all it still gives me about 10% of battery in the end of the day.
Design: It is a beauty. Sleek enough to get a good impression and comfortable enough to hold it.
Performance: It never lags. I haven't noticed a single lag so far. It is smooth enough. Sometimes I play Clash of Kings or some other games and it could handle every game well. But there are some software glitches. I hope Samsung would fix it.
TouchWiz: It's ok but not good. Yes it is not that much smooth comparing to HTC interface but it gives me what I need most. I am hoping Samsung would fix this touchWiz crap in near future because it is a kind of ram eater.
Display: What do I have to say? It's one of the main reason of this device to be considered as a flagship.
Battery: With a full charge, u can use it a full day.
Heat: Of course it heats up when playing games. I think it normal because I didn't find it affecting performance so far.
So that's it. but how can I know that this tab is good enough? Because I have used Samsung galaxy tab 4 7.0, Apple iPad mini 2 and mini 3, LG G pad before.
Finally I decided to end up using Samsung GT S 8.4LTE. Why?
Because I see something in Tab S which other tablets don't have.
P.S: I am not a Samsung lover nor a hater.

Im from Malaysia....just upgraded my Tab S 8.4 LTE last night to Lolipop 5.0.2. So far dont have any problem...just noticed the obvious different is that the screen power usage is only 3-4% compare to kitkat which is abt 35-43%. The screen slide and typing is really smooth.

Last night 13/5, just upgraded my Tab S 8.4 to Lolipop and so far no problem. Under new firmware Lolipop 5.0.2, the screen power usage just 2% compared to previous KitKat 4.4.2 about 30%. The slide motion run really smooth and few new feature such as internet browser, user profile and etc.

Anonymous, 13 May 2015I want to buy this tab tomorrow but am afriad cos of the ex... moreThis tablet has the best display I've ever seen in a tablet, but you have to set to basic display mode when watching videos to reduce over saturation, great loud stereo speakers. As I mentioned before, best for watching videos.
But sadly, software is so laggy, touchwiz is just terrible, unless you're techy enough to root this device and install custom roms...otherwise, better try z4 tablet or nexus 9 instead...

but the screen is awesome go to the youtube or vimeo and test some 4k videos awesome and no hickups just pure nice extremely sharp videos .. i bet your pc only for 1080p with hickups...5.0.2 maybe is not so bad afterall few days and few startup and ..on the road again 4 hrs browsing with 4g and btooth on because of gear looking videos no battery saver on
and battery remain 66% and it is hot hot hot from back

I am very disappointed in this device. It is crap compared to my old tab 1 10.1. It is slow, crash mostly, battery runs flat in 45 min. When battery is 9%, I place it on the charger and then it shows 54%. The signal is 100% H+ LTE en then it has no connection to net, I reboot and then it last for 20min and start all over again. This is the crapest tab ever.

It seems that samsung pays attention more on their flagship phones rather than on their flagship tablets, it seems samsung releases too many devices and don't have enough time and manpower to fix the software bugs and give timely updates to their 2nd tier devices ...
