I did just buy the unit 5 days ago. Full charge and last me for 2 days 9 hours and still counting. I am a light user (just use to surf net & facebook, sometimes play COC too)... Overall, I am quite satisfy on the performance. Just sometimes, i found it will a bit hot (at behind when playing COC)...

to maintain battery life, lower your brightness to quarter brightness. with super-amoled, the LED is bright enough even during daylight.
close any apps you don't use. don't leave it in the background, else apps with a lot of videos will use a lot of energy and make the tablet hot. happened to me once.

This will solve the problem , but battery drainage is still very quick. I cannot understand why it consumes so much battery. Even when it is on stand by mode.

As soon as I bought it and started to use it, I had evident problems regarding the battery. Very quickly i noticed that the tablet got hotter than any smart phone or tablets i used in the past. Then it was easily clear that battery cobsumption was very fast. The battery percentage also jumped suddenly in less than a minute by 10%. Charging could start at a lot higher percentage from what it showed when i started charging it. I sent it for service twice and they sent it back to me stating that the tablet works right and according to manufacturer's specifications. The third time i sent it they said that they changed the battery and did some updates. After that, there was no overheating and no abrupt jumps in the battery consumption or charging. But i still believe that the battery performance is not that great, considering the price and the specifications of the tablet. It consumes about 15% of battery in an hour. I also noticed that there are quite a few people who mention similar issues with this tablet. It is really a shame, because this tablet did catch my attention and i thought it was a great tablet. That is why i changed my budjet planning and bought it.

I even contacted samsung Dubai and given the device number. But the advice was to go back to the store where I bought or to nearest service center which I was just frustrated for endless arguments.
And if you read all my opinions here, my bad experience with this tab starts with battery, then next camera flash stops working, and then the network signal disruptions which will flicker the screen and eventually device will restart. It happens once the battery is below 20%
And If you google it, i'm not the only one who camplains the same about this tab. I am a samsung fan but recently their product quality is declining.

Battery was fine as i dont play that much of games however at times when i open an app and the back button do not work and i have to wait for it to come back before i can close an app and even going back to main page would have to wait....i am not too sure whether it is a prob from the software or what gonna get it fixed but other than that it was fine....

I had it from Oct 8, 2014 and I sold it to a mobile shop Nov 21, 2014 as I could no longer bear the frustration with its battery sucking sickness. Imagine playing games full charged? and after then over 30 minutes its down to 5%? Grrrrr!
Now Im feeling great with my new Xperia Z3 Tab Compact with a real deal battery that last up to whole day of non-stop playing Clash Of Clans, and I am surprised it has screen video capture which I think its first of its kind on any tabs. And it functions as phone (data calling/sms) which can download and install any apps which usually exclusively for phones (ie whatsapp).
Im sorry guys I'm just really frustrated with tab S 8.4 bcoz of my money but this tab disappointed me alot. And Im sharing you the real great tab option if you plan to buy one.

Can anyone tell me how much battery is consumed every five minutes? Mine burns about 1-2%. And about just over 15% in an hour. Isnt this too much drainage%

I got TAB S 8.4 LTE bought here in Saudi Arabia, I tried to return it to the store where I bought but after endless arguments it still with me.
Samsung should apply update to fix the WORST BATTERY DRAINER. Not only the battery, The camera flash stops working too and the flickers and auto restarting which I wish to crush this tab to pieces in frustration.
DONT DONT BUY THIS TAB. Its the best in Display but battery is so worst!!!

Im in the market to buy my first tablet and ive been looking at the galaxy tab s 8.4 LTE is this a good buy and what are my other choices in that price range or jst stick with my choice ? Ill play a few games surf the net skype,youtube watch movies etc and will be taking loads of pics and vids any advise?
