Li-Ion batteries last 500 charging cycles and up to 2-3 years when left on a shelf

I'm using this phone for 19 month. About six month ago I started to have trouble with some apps. They closed or did not run correctly. The battery is weak, I need to charge it every 6 hours if I'm using the 3G (but isn't it the objective of a smartphone????).
Don't buy this phone, prefer a S"something" mini.

cyangenmod 10.1 and it rocks!
but still have some issues, camera zoom doesnt work with the default camera prog and as no radio fm support, but you can install Spirit Free.

theBee, 02 Sep 2013 Im sorry , but the RAM of thr galaxy w is 351MB only .. an... morelol.. what kind of games are you playing?? I have never encountered any lag while playing Gameloft and EA games because of low RAM.. (insufficient RAM will force close an app)
Lag comes from the outdated GPU not from the RAM
just set the game's graphics to low and play like a boss

Im sorry , but the RAM of thr galaxy w is 351MB only .. and its not quite good for playing hd games ..

pl... moreFlashing ROMs was never, is never, and will never be a safe thing to do because there is always the risk of "bricking" youre device -- even I get nervous everytime I flash a custom ROM (and I do that every week)
BUT... if done correctly it could it could change your phone for the better... I suggest you try reading posts in xda forums first before trying anything...
I made a guide on how to flash ROMs in page 2 or 3 in this comment section... start from the links there...

eekk555, 24 Aug 2013But, it will drain battery faster than normal!not by much actually.. stock gingerbread rom is actually more battery friendly than ICS and Jellybean ROMs for SGW without custom Kernels such as Hursky and Honey Kernels..
think of SetCPU as another widget running at 3.4mb of ram.. that amount is much smaller than your useless facebook widget
(ps. Im not advertising SetCPU or any apps, Im just sharing my experience)

Actually you dont need to install a custom ROM to make your phone faster and smotther
you just need to gain Root access and install SetCPU or similar app from Google Play

Some time it will hang. Why? Some time its light will be automatically on.
