- when do this blackscreen happen? when gaming/web surfing/running heavy stuff or everytime even when unlocking the phone/fidling over the settings and other light stuffs?
- how long do they last? what happens after? do you need to restart the phone or you just need to wait a few seconds.
- did you ever try to ROOT your device. if yes, is it successful or failed?
- if your answer above is no, did you ever try to install an app that requires root permission (which you dont have)?
- is your phone updated to the official Android 2.3.6, the latest our phones can get (fck u samsung)
- did you every try to hard reset/ factory data reset your device.
- how many apps did you install? how many of them are "free"?

LightWhiteDirtyBlack, 26 Oct 2013 I just want to correct the RAM of Galaxy W , its not 512MB... moreit is actually 512 RAM. the missing RAM you are looking for is reserved for the Android system so that the phone will not crash/reboot/heavy freeze whenever a huge task is ongoing such as games/calls and web surfing

I just want to correct the RAM of Galaxy W , its not 512MB , its only 351MB . I have this phone too , and im using it now . Thats all ,tnx

buyim, 20 Sep 2013less than 3 months my samsung w cant on/cant be chargedThat looks like a battery problem. check your battery's manufacturing date. Check if you battery is bloated by putting it in a flat table and spinning it.
less than 3 months means you still have warranty.. take your phone to the shop you got it from and demand them to honor your warranty.. remember to BE AS TECHNOLOGY DUMB AS POSSIBLE!!

If you are talking about tethering ? - I found it difficult on my old Xp laptop but with my new Win8 laptop, I just connected the handset to the laptop via a USB / mini uSB lead. I then went into the phone settings -> wifi -> clicked on tehering and it worked.
I had to turn wifi off on the laptop to stop the laptop trying to connect using both wifi and tethering-handset at the same time but it worked well.

- what Android version do you see??
- if it is 2.3.6 or 2.3.3 go to SETTINGS> WIRELESS AND NETWORK> USB UTILITIES
- DO NOT CONNECT USB YET---click "Connect Storage to PC"
- Connect USB then there is a small wait and a small confirmation. when the Android picture goes yellow your device is now connected
