If you dont have this then please forget everything I just posted.
If you insist in downloading all that files needed for flashing ROMs you will face astronomical data charges that makes the whole process not worth it. that amount of money is best invested in a new, much powerfull phone instead

you need to root your phone:

then install a Clockworkmod 5 or 6. this is a Custom recovery menu(older versions are fine)

you are now ready for a custom ROM installation.

Pristine installation is the best way to flash a ROM. by cleaning you system, your phones SD card, external sd card you will avoid most problems that arises.

any custom ROMS are fine (cyanogen is still the best though, IMHO). if they require other custom recovery, just flash that recovery.
remember to make BACKUPS. It will save your life

jokes aside, you could go to recovery menu (just google how todo it) and factory reset your phone
keep in mind that this will also erase everything you put inside the phone memory including apps, pictures, p0rn vids, etc.

Been using this for a year, no problems, dropped a couple of times, working good. Best if root it, and use Apps like TitaniumBackup to remove bloatware, or get CyanogenMod9/10, which makes your phone very,very fast for a single core phone.

just used custom rom jb 4.2.2.. it was very very awesome!!no more lag,slow.. but i dont use fb or antivirus as these apps will use so much memory and make the phone lagging.. just go to xda website and use the latest rom.. build 7 if im not mistaken.. you will not regret it.. last week im thinking of changing a new phone but after flashed this wonder with jb, i change my mind.. now it works like charm.. salam :)

dont use go launcher ex..thats why ur phones lag..but use smart launcher..its smooth.try it..
