Anonymous, 07 Aug 2024I returned mine after 5 days of not making it through a 12-... moreIt might have had a faulty battery, or was just adapting to your usage patters. I've read that it ''may last up to a week'', time in wich it would have used more battery.

Still, 5 days is kind of a long while, my W6C has only done the adapting thing for only 1 day, time in which it barely lasted 9 hours , but now it can pull off 2 days of moderate use

I returned mine back and they sent me a new one.
FInally I have no battery issues. They just sent me a defect product the first time.

Anonymous, 07 Aug 2024I returned mine after 5 days of not making it through a 12-... moreDo you use your watch to also speak on the phone or only as a watch. My GW5 is fully charged by 7.30am every day and by 6.30am the following morning is only down to 40% - 45% when I again charge it. However I do not use the phone facility to talk on the watch. could not be happier with the watch. It advises and reads SMS messages and also emails and I occasionally take my blood pressure and heart rhythm. Excellent device.

I returned mine after 5 days of not making it through a 12-hour day. If they fix the problem, I may give them another try.

in that case there's no reason to get this watch7, just any brand will do. Since you're going to turn all those features off.

Robin , 29 Jul 2024if you turned all functions off, is that still a smart watc... moreAll they are doing is turning off AOD and continuous heart rate. Most smart watch users do this regardless of the brand.

I started using my secondary GW7 today. After twelve hours of use my battery is only down 13%, to 87%. But my launch GW7 was similar until six or seven days later. Then I started having the crazy battery drain on it.

I'm patient though and it's still very early with the software. It will almost certainly be resolved with an update.

moaa, 27 Jul 2024why the hell isn't the color black too?? Samsung is so... moreThe green version is actually a medium metallic grey and looks so much better than me glossy black GW6. I pre ordered and got the dark grey band though, not the green. Dark grey band should be standard.

I think I just hot hit with the battery issue. I've been using it for a week now and saw no issues. But, last night I was at 57% when I went to bed. And when I woke up it was at 7%. Normally, I will only lose a few percentage points over night. Heck, I had not even lost 50% in an entire 24 hour period before.

Unless it did something abnormal last night that used a bunch of power? No idea though.

Anonymous, 25 Jul 2024I already used galaxy watch 7 44mm couple days. Battery die... moreI've only charged mine once, since my initial charging when I got it Saturday. I wear my GW7 on weekends and evenings. So it's powered on around fourteen hours on weekdays, and then the entire weekend. (My GW6 is used for ten hours on weekdays).

So far, I have been very pleased with the battery life of my GW7. I'm still considering trading in my GW6 toward another GW7, as soon as more stock arrives at BestBuy. Assuming the $200 trade in deal is still active.

I already used galaxy watch 7 44mm couple days. Battery dies in 7 hours everyday. Does anyone have the same issue? I did turned on all connections, notifications, because I want it work as a smart watch. My old galaxy watch 3 still can work 1. 5 days with same setting. Why the new watch's battery is so weak?

bunyip22, 22 Jul 2024My GW7 LTE 44mm arrived today, my initial thoughts after 6 ... moreFurther to below.

I just went out for a 5km jog and 2km walk.

Based on an aerial, the GPS accuracy on the GW6 was +/- 6 to 8m with a few trees around.
The GPS accuracy on the GW7 is more like was +/- 1 to 2m.

Over 2 hours with screen always on while running and walking, it used 9%.

Prior to that, charging from 81% to full took 23 minutes which feels noticeably faster than the GW6. The GW7 said it would be 32 minutes.

Heart rate feels more accurate / smoother with less unexplained spikes but is hard to quantify on a constant speed run.

If you use the GW6 for fitness, the GW7 is certainly worth the update imho.

My GW7 LTE 44mm arrived today, my initial thoughts after 6 hours use are:

The "Green" watch is more of a medium grey and looks great, certainly better than the black GW6.
I went the dark gray band, not the green, and it relay should be standard.
The band accents and the orange and wite accents on the button edges are a nice touch.
It is certainly a lot snappier.

I charges up from 75%. I'm not sure if the charger is faster than 10 watts but it was certainly quicker than the GW6 which gets slow over the last 5%. The GW6 charger and GW7 charger were showing the same time.

I haven't had it long enough to test GPS accuracy or battery life.

The case around the watch has thicker wings which connect to the bands and look good.

The only potential downside is that the glass sits about 1mm above the case sides while the GW6 was nearly flush. It might be easier to shatter if you hit something.

The buckle is more of a brushed silver. Really it should be a darker grey to match the watch case.

AND the backup recover of settings from my GW6 didn't work. Took a bit of time setting up from scratch but probably better to clean out unused apps.

kolabioz, 10 Jul 2024What about NFC ?What about it? That is one feature I do not use because it requires a passcode or pattern. Which makes it useless to me. And then when I switch watches, I need to enter a passcode again, before the watch can be used. WHich I will typically forget.

Although I haven't tested it with the Wtach7, but I would think it would be like my Watch6 and Watch5.

Although, I need to send my Watch5 in for the trade in. $70 for the Wtach7 was a great deal, with the $200 trade in for my Watch5.

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2024What I do not understand is why people that own galaxy watc... moreI have no need for a watch to last seven days. Worst case, I would charge it every day.
I would rather the watch be lighter and only last a few days, than for it to be thicker and heavier and last seven days.
