"MrWhoseTheBoss" tested pseudorugged no-name consumer junk, not the rugged devices that industries and first responders use.
That being said, I do think one should not be too generous with the "that's-not-important-in-serious-business"-excuse for low specs in rugged phones. Yes, these devices do not have to play games or 4k videos or take pretty pictures, but they should be able to function reliably and securely for years, which means they need the specs to handle future Android upgrades. A rugged phone that is just adequate today may not be so useful anymore in one, two versions. And clinging to Android 9 forever is not a solution (I'm looking at you, Panasonic and Motorola Solutions).

on a case? ur 2 bucks away from it looking brand new.
most rugged phones are nowhere near as durable as advertised btw, MrWhoseTheBoss tested them, and you're better off with a 150$ phone with a cheap case and screen protector.
a 778G won't show its smoothness as well with a 1080p LCD @60Hz anyway.

I'm using Note with S-Pen easy to sign, image editing, etc. and Pixel for the camera, but i always in hurry (cuz of my job) and already drop them many times and crack even they already using rugged case. Consider to buy rugged phone, but still no clear information from any rugged phone i watch on Youtube for what i need like Samsung and Pixel, but my eyes on NXR20 now.
Just need 1 phone with :
1. S Pen & 512GB, very good display like S21/2U
2. Easy fast point and shot, brilliant camera & clean Android like Google Pixel
3. Rugged, tough, good battery life like Nokia XR20 (i do like the design)
Hope GSMArena (or anyone read this) forward this to any brand

VNuff, 04 Jun 2022This is the weirdest phone I saw Samsung release, I'd ... moreDisdain for midrange SoCs (a72 and a52s not brought to the USA), removable batteries(no trading in or buying new phone quickly), headphone jacks (intrudes on buds sales), and rugged phones (no new sales or screen repair sales) is pretty fitting for Samsung. The fact that Wal-Mart bought hundreds of thousands of the XCover Pro is pretty telling: They only want the aforementioned features in a gimped "boring" corporate phone for big box store or worksite employees that isn't exceptionally good for entertainment or media purposes.

This is the weirdest phone I saw Samsung release, I'd let a 1080p LCD slide at a high refresh rate but this is just a 778G gone to waste, 128GB of storage nowadays is the bare minimum and so is the 6GB of RAM this phone offers, other than that, the lack of 4K is annoying otherwise, it's fine.
