Openjaws, 08 Mar 2021Another overpriced piece of cr*pThey haven't even released this phone yet, and you should know by now that these prices listed are based on rumours. The Galaxy S21 launched a full $100 lower than the lowest estimates!

Muttley, 07 Mar 2021Firstly I was not complaining.
Most of my applications are... more"You can never have enough internal storage."
Well, by that reasoning Samsung could not make you happy no matter how much storage they put into this. ;-)
This is a business phone. My company phone has merely 16GB and that is fine. It is an iPhone, so not entirely comparable, but apart from the stock software it is running two work specific apps, both less than 50MB, and that's it. I doubt those would be bigger on Android. Employees are not supposed to install a gazillion personal things on their company tool.
Besides, my private Samsung phone does have 64GB internal and that is fine, too. I have installed everything I can think and I still have 44% space left. The few apps on there approaching or exceeding 1GB are games, which would have no place on a corporate phone.

Samsung should remake the Galaxy A3 but with more storage and less bloatware.
This is still on the large size for a phone but nothing like the tablet sized things people have these days.

Most of my applications are about 1GB of internal storage.
There is the possibility of app developers doing many things in the future but apps will not get smaller I have many apps that are 1GB ish in size and some bigger than 1GB.
I could easily fill 64GB with applications and then need to delete apps when the updates came in.
Samsung are keen on bloatware for sure which could take 25% of storage.
I have less than 25% storage left and I have virtually no apps other than what it came with.
You can never have enough internal storage.

Muttley, 06 Mar 2021Well for a start there will be bloatware included. These &... moreMany decades ago it was true you wouldn't need 64kb of storage but even these days 64 gigs of storage is more than enough. Updates won't just take 20 gigs of storage after a year? The only updates that are even big enough to take a bit of space are Android version upgrade from 11 to 12 and since this is a new phone it'll receive updates for 3 years so from 11 to 12 and 12 to 13 by then you would've only lost around 3-6 gigs of storage and not 20. Please look up the facts before you complain.

I so hate samsung.
1-They made s active series, only for US market last phone was s8 active which was best of the best.
2- They never make flagship rugged and If they make it will be garbage phone like this 5 years old design and aspects.
3- Got my s21 ultra exynos, total scam returned, why total scam,
Because of no charger my 40w charger take 02:20 hpura to charge the phone, cant play pubg woth 60fps can ypu imagine and other games big frame drop not like snapdragon.
Samsumg fooling people, my mate 20 pro 2 years pld is way better than samsung, i think if huawei has google it will be no. 1 easily.

These "apps" keep getting bigger everyday taking up memory.
It is a good way to sell a new cell phone.
Electronic waste is the issue.
64GB of internal will be probably 40GB of useable then the updates start.
After a year probably 20GB of useable and you might like to add some other apps so memory is looking short by then.
I know a guy who said no body will need more that 64KB of memory and how wrong was he.

Anonymous, 05 Mar 2021but there is already rugged chinese phones
like Umidigi bi... moreUmidigi has wonky website full of typos and bad English. Their B2B contact for NA & Europe is "Misty", while "Fancy" is the contact for Latin America, and "Jane" is responsible for the "Middel East" (sic). All the phone numbers are from China, no international offices. Their picture of a "Umidigi Store" is actually from a Samsung store with some poorly photoshopped logo replacements: https://www.umidigi.com/new/Images/umidigi_store.jpg
This is a cheap shady junk company with an uncertain future. No serious business or agency will order some thousand phones from their Alibaba store when you can have a local Samsung representative come by and work out an X-year full support contract.

Muttley, 05 Mar 2021They can not be serious making this phone. Maybe some buil... moreWhy would it run out of storage? It is an enterprise phone. It will have one or two apps installed that are needed for the job - maybe the barcode scanner and the company VPN connector or whatever. If for some reason the job requires accumulating loads of data in the device, there is the option of installing a microSD card. 64GB internally is plenty enough for the next 4-5 years, and then the warranty and the tax deductible period are over and the service contractor replaces your company fleet of 1,000 XCover 5 with 1,000 XCover 8.

Anonymous, 05 Mar 2021If you dont want just shut up.. its for people who enjoy ru... moreRugged phone???
Any phone with a good book case will be durable enough and you can buy a waterproof case too there are plenty if you know where to look.
Any 100-120 eur device will have better specs if i spend lets say another 10 bucks for a case i will get equally same or better rugged device for 30-40% of cost of this phone.
Industrial there is nothing like that because with a good case any phone would do and will be very durable. Paying 300 bucks for IP resistance and a bit of rubber is just a waste of money as always.
