Android Oreo. Can do things with it that have been restricted since Pi went to Q. I have it on an S7 Active which is the original version of this Redux.

it's a complete junk!! $1000 just because it's rugged?? it has low range specs

I won't forget the thousands and thousands of people who kept saying (repeatedly) : in order to have an IP68 + MIL-STD-810G phone...it can't have removable battery. These same people will find it in their hearts to still bash my comment. This is the world today people. Don't seal the battery ! ! It never should've been sealed ! !

This thing looks like a beast apart the 4gb of ram. Still, 1000eur is too much for this kinda of phone, any kind of phone as a matter of fact. The price should be around 600eur with tax.

1000$ for this garbage just because it has Samsung logo on it! If you are in market for a rugged phone you better off checking ulefone or balckview they offer so much for the buck

I've been searching this phone pretty much every day since two weeks, and it looks that in Germany, a company named TASSTA is already taking preorders. They say they've the exclusivity in Germany, so I hope this phone goes all over the world and doesn't get stuck as exclusive just in two or three countries.
The thing is that I like its large battery, a screen that doesn't try to get to the edge and is not too big. And the front physical buttons, I hate the "all has to be touchscreen", I like my front buttons.
Yeah, there's the Xcover X4s, but if I'm buying a new phone I'll try to buy the one I like the most, and this is pretty much everything I could wish. I don't care about the camera, with 3GB of RAM I'm more than happy (I've been living with 2GB just fine).
The price tho... hurts. I hope there will be a consumer version without any emergence/communication service that I think they're packing it with and then make it cheaper, but I've my doubts.

If Samsung was more forthcoming with a release date I might cut them some slack. However, they're just being too tight-lipped. I may be giving up on Samsung this time.
