EXTREMELY SLOW! Maintaining the internet connection unreliable. had to pull the battery out to shut the phone off trying to reconnect to internet. It may not be a long time, however [20 sec]-to-(recognize) this word, was further (appropriating)-another-[ 24 sec]. of my time. Returning phone.

Now I read they came out with a Samsung S-20 "tactical version".

Its interesting, heavy duty case and good camera. Encryption technology, low light operations .. But can you remove the battery ;-) ?
Something to look forward to when checking through my local military surplus store bargain bin in the future. Probably a pretty hefty price.

My Xcover has FM radio as well, though i dont need it.
Been using it for a week. Battery lasts 2 days with low-moderate usage.
Generally nice phone, i like dedicated buttons, though i dont know what to put under all of these functions:P
Photo quality is good.
Downside is the size, i hoped it was smaller.

Anyone with the unlocked US version, can you check your IMEI on the Verizon prepaid website to see if it's compatible? I'd like to use this phone on Verizon prepaid, but they seem to only be selling it through their business division currently.

Samsung seems to have been a bit inconsistent with their marketing materials, sometimes calling the screen IPS, sometimes TFT. It's probably all the same screen. Are you sure it is not IPS in your area?

in my region, southeast asia, the display technology used for the Xcover pro is TFT (not IPS). unfortunately, i will not buy it because of TFT technology (i had bad experience with TFT tablets). it's too bad, because i really like the replaceable battery and water proofness and design language of the Xcover pro.
for now, i have to buy chinese mid rangers because they often use fullhd IPS LCD which i prefer over any amoled stuff

this seems to be the highest spec samsung with IPS display? i prefer IPS rather than amoled so this is the best match i can find in the samsung brand

Well I finally got my Xcover Pro, and just taking a quick look at it. I really like the size and feel of the phone. It feels well built and I will no longer worried about using my the phone in in the rain. It feels almost the same length and width of my note 4 and it has a flat screen. Perfect.
So wait till my Samsung note 4 dies in the next 2 to 6 months (maybe) and then I switch to this one.

People on XDA forums were reporting success using the Australian firmware. Just grabbing the radio-app APK from the web and installing seemed to be insufficient, though. The situation might be similar for the XCover Pro.

Is there some hidden file I can unlock? I been reading up about this FM radio benefit on other phones. I think it should be a standard install. In case you cant get online having a radio receiver would be nice to listen to.
