Otterbox has their defender series cases now out for the XCover Pro.

There haven't been many accessories for this phone so far, but Spigen now makes a decent case for it. It is not even shown on their website yet, but can be bought in some European online stores. I got mine here in Sweden. Not sure if the XCover Pro really benefits much from a case when it comes to ruggedness, but for me it really helps with using the power button/fingerprint reader. That button is very flat and almost flush with the phone, and it can be hard to hit it just right with the finger. The cutout in the case helps a lot here by "guiding" the finger to the right position.

Jaro, 02 May 2020I will be glad if some other users of xcover pro, will say ... moreHave used this as work phone for 2 months and have little confused feeling. Basically phone works fine, camera is surprising good, phone is quite fast and works well In normal use as web browsing and so. Battery life aint as good as tought for 4050 mah, but ok, for pretty hard use it lasts day, and lighter use easily 2 days. Its actually very practical sized for 6.3 inch screen and sits In hand nicely. Signal strenghts for 4g seems to be quite good but there seems to be no big differences between A70 or Nokia 7 plus as tested In the woods. Personally I dont like two things about this, one is power button/fingerprint scanner-scanner works fine but shutting phone off is some times hard, other thing is there is no light sensor, phone uses front camera for that and is sometimes pretty slow with that. Finally can say that this is good and solid phone, maybe not for everyone but specially for outdoor use, easy to handle

I will be glad if some other users of xcover pro, will say what they think about this phone and what is their expirience. Battery life, sot, brightnes of the screen in sun light, how good is the signal receiving in basement, forest etc, how good is the wi-fi range , quality of microphone. Everything can be good information for others ;) Thx

Jaro, 02 May 2020S10+ in my country cost right now 785$ or 730€. I will not ... moreYes I Agree. The Samsung S-20+ has come out here and its around $2000.00 Canadian dollar, same as when the S10+ when it came out ( now dropped to $900.00 Canadian as they are clearing out the " old " phones). Better to take your chances on Amazon and pay around $700.00 Canadian for a flagship phone.
I feel better buying this XCover Pro phone at this price. The last time I payed full price was for my original note 4. It died ( I dropped it into the toilet) and I bought a used Note 4 for 350.00 Canadian on Craigslist and still using it. You can treat phone now like used cars, get them with a year old and their are major price drops and you know all the bugs from the reviews comments.

I have money, but I have other priorities. The xcover pro cost excactly 500$ . The prices for the phones are to high in my country and they never fall down. I can buy phone 2years after release and they are still overpriced. Not like in US where phones can be 40% cheaper even including your state taxes. I earn 2x less money and pay 2x more for phones. What a sic world I live

But this XCover Pro is a good work phone. I rather pay my money to support this type of practical phone. Opposed to throw away/ change every year phones with sealed batteries and easy to from drops rounded exposed screen edges (even with an otter box on it)
As for the camera...time to buy a real camera for picture taking. I am given up on getting a good quality camera in a rugged tough, long life removable battery design in my smart phone.

V1N, 29 Apr 2020Probably intended for work and single hand use not for ente... moreIt is meant for rougher environments. I working in mechanical room of buildings and my phone takes a beating (note 4) that is why I have a cover on it. I also killed my first Samsung Note 4 by dropping it out of my pocket into the toilet!! ( this may or may not have involved Tequila..ha ha) That is why I need a phone like this. Plus swapping out battery is better then having a charging pack and cable hanging out of my pocket snagging on things when I am working in tight spaces.
I will miss the camera of my note 4. A real serious omission by Samsung for the Xcover PRO. They should include a good camera with optical telephoto capability. I would take this phone hiking with me into back country. I would like to be able to take nice scenic shots. Why could they not put a note 4 camera (from 2014!) into this unit that had 3 times optical zoom. Its not that hard to do. I built a modified a case for my not e 4 and dropped it 12 feet onto concrete and it survived( I was lucky) and the camera took the shock as well. So there is no excuse for Samsung to not package decent telephoto camera with this phone.
I also use the telephoto on my note 4 at take work picture of stuff I can not get close to.

As there are lost of deals with phone companies as they are getting rid of this stock now for the S20's. I don't like the rounded sides of the screen (too easy to crack on a drop) and no battery removal on the S10 plus.

I do not anticipate call issues with this Xcover Pro phone when I eventually activate it

                                        ADVICE REQUIRED
I'm about to replace the BB Android phone abandoned by BB with another mainstream Android one. Samsung with a Knox seems OK.
The problem with Samsung is that most of them have crappy mobile network signal handling.
I live in a rural area with a terrible network coverage. BB phones work OK, modern LG work superb, most of Snapdragon Samsungs have .... no network at all.
Can I buy Xcover Pro, which meets most of my requirements, without worrying about the cellular network reception? Serious answers are welcome!
