In real world testing ..not a lab. I have dropped mine from 4.5 feet onto a sidewalk concrete and all I had was a scuff mark on the corner. No cracked screen, no broken body and it works fine.
I have since got an Otterbox Defender case for it its pretty bullet proof almost. Plus a screen protector. Sits in my coverall chest top pockets as I climb over, around and under greasy dirty, dusty and greasy machinery, that I fix. At the end of the day I clean off my greasy finger smudges, and clean up the phone before putting it in my clean clothes.
Nice rugged little phone, great battery life and no issues at all in its functionality. It just got a software update today for everyone info. I have been using it almost 3 months now.

In real world testing: Battery life. I do use it heavily every day.
According to AccuBattery App on my phone.
My battery is now at 92% of capacity now or 3,652 mAh (they list design capacity as 3950 mAh?). So they may be off 5%
At 100% charge:
If the screen is off., I have 57 h, 13 min.
If the screen being used 50% of the time. It will last 17hours, 17 min.
If the screen is on all the time. It will last 7 hours and 57 min If your play a
game may it knock it down to 4 -5 hours

elect, 06 Sep 2020150$ for a charger, srsly?Welcome to the world of industrial/agency phones. :P

I get that some devices are expensive because of their certifications and support, but I suspect many accessories - like that charger - are just priced like that because serious business phones need serious business accessories with serious business prices. Also, they probably get a lot cheaper if you order 20,000 for your nationwide staff.

How can u have video limited at 30fps? I would have bought this phone asap if it had 1080 @60 video recording. Even my S7 has that... i can not downgrade, and video under 60fps is not acceptable.

Screen has some shadows towards the bottom of the display. I compared my phone to another Galaxy Xcover pro and both displays had the issue.

My only issue is with the lock screen. It will not consistently wake up for alerts forcing you to turn on the screen. Settings are all where they should be. Googling this issue shows it appears across hardware platforms for Samsung and the current version of android 10.

cliefan, 25 Aug 2020How's the camera compared with non Samsung devices? H... moreTo me it takes good basic pictures. But I expected a little more then the just a wide angle and "pro mode" (where you adjust contrast/tint/colour of the shot your about to take--photo shop before you press the button and take the modified picture.) The camera should have been good enough to not require you manually tweaking the picture via pro mode, IMHO.

But I saw this review of the different rugged cameras pictures and according to that review, it does not take bad photos..just there is no telephoto in the Xcover Pro.

                        The phone is great.
Maybe the update I had today would improve the quality of the camera.
Either which way it's a mobile to have and keep for a long time.
                        Bravo to Samsung.

I have had my phone for several months now, no issues, great battery, everything works right out of the box. Just a solid phone. Blue tooth works well. I really have no faults with it at this time.
I am still not a fan of the camera though. The wide angle does not really suit my type of picture taking. I really wish they had put in an optical zoom, which much more useful then the wide angle for composing shots. My camera feels like a I bought a cheap point and shoot camera. But for generally basic photos it does do an o.k. job. I knew that I was down grading on the camera coming from a Samsung Note 4 for this phone, but and I needed the upgrade on all the other features this phone has. You cant have everything sometimes.
IF Google comes out with a phone like this, with removable battery, headphone jack, as tough as this one is,and with FM radio inside and good 3x telephoto good camera, I probably buy it .
But I will stick with this one for a few years. Hopefully Samsung may build on this ones strengths for the next version ( And put the FM radio/ telephoto lens in all them please!)

The Samsung website states - Testing methods include a drop test on a plywood impact surface over concrete from a height of 1.2 meters. So only drop proof to 1.2m (not 1.5m)....onto plywood. Hardly rugged when other rugged phones test onto concrete or steel.
