Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos is a "Type & Touch" phone. Is it possible to operate the mobile only by touch screen without using the keypad except power, call, menu & end button?? Practical experience from the real owner only. Thanks in advance.

Friend , how you can say it is dual active when you can't receive the call on other sim2 when talking on SIM1 !!!!!!

pbhat, 26 Feb 2012The basic specs of this phone are readily available from t... moreI have read so many comments on this phone both Positive and Negative before i finally decided to purchase it. I have used it extensively for 1 week now trying to explre the features on this dual sim phone and this is what i have finally arrived at...
SAMSUNG GALAXY Y PRO DUOS B5512 Features..
1. This Phone is Dual active standby (Both sim Works at the same time)
2. Comes Preloaded with Android gingerbread 2.3.6 with samsung touchwiz
3.when on call with sim 1 phone rings on sim 2 as well as sim 1 when someone calls.
3.Both sims are 3g capable, but only 1 works in 3g mode while the other operate in 2g. you can switch each sim to work in 3g or 2g.
4.video call camera works when calling other phone.
5.Nimbuzz video call works. i have not tried skype or yahoo messenger.
6.so far the this phone works well and does not hang like other dual sim phone.
7. user interface is very easy to operate and switching between sims are easy too.
8. Screen is 256k and not 16million colours which make the display not quite perfect. but atleast its ok.
9. call waiting works on both sim 1 and 2.
10. camera is not perfect but ok.
i have used alot of dual sim phone from different brands manufacturer including samsung too but this model ( SAMSUNG GALAXY Y PRO DUOS B5512)is the best and i mean the best in the market for now.
anyone wishing to have it should buy it cos you will never regret having this phone.
In samsung we trust...........At least for Now.

Why does Samsung mentions its camera as 2MP not 3MP and its display resolution as QVGA instead of WQVGA on its Indian site..

Samsung is strong in touch series but Samsung is far behind in QWERTY. Look at chat and galaxy pro series Design, Specs and Performance are quite weak as compare to Nokia E series and BlackBerry Curve/Bold series.
