Chris, 17 Mar 2012i just want to confirm if the 2 sims are active and i can u... morego ahead bro...it works fine.....for example if im on a call on line one the line to rings like a call waiting beep..i got a feeling thee are versions maybe im wrong what i got is Samsung galaxy y pro GT-5512 so make sure u get the same......cheers

What!! no AutoFocus Camera again !! This is a feature you DO NOT SKIMP on , Even a 2MPx camera will do with AF, almost every student knows the importance of an AF camera.
Samsung has literally covered all the basics right with this phone except an AF Camera-
Android 2.3
Decent battery
Dual-SIM
Qwerty Keypad w/Touch
3G
Front Facing Camera etc...
Then WHY DOES samsung always spoil the mood by putting a freakin FixedFocus Camera!! We dont care if it's 5 or 8MPX, AF is more important.

bought the phone few days back and its great..happy i didnt go for a BB.speed is good both process and internet.wifi works fine, both sims are active, both on standby, both can be used for HSDPA one at a time...so no issues about the duel sims and..push mail is good.practically all apps work i downloaded.can save the apps to the SD card so phone memory is also saved.camera is also very good if it has auto focus would have been great..yes u can get ur customized own alert tones(sms/email/whatsapp etc)you just have to do a little path creation.this one thing i liked alot ....did took time to get to know the phone but its good...the downsides are..screen could have been bit larger,and battery seems to drain fast if HSDPA is active so when just standby i switch to 2G and when needed only i switch to 3G.and the top 4 navi keys are not back-lit so have difficulty operating in dark but once ur fingers get used to know the buttons its fine.... so overall i would like to say its very good phone to a person to have Business and pleasure both....

i have been using this phone since 20 days.here are the pros & cons -
pros: super fast multitasking,smooth optical trackpad,8 mp like photo quality even though its 3 mp,289 mb ram,user friendly,fast internet,nicely distinguished keys,auto rotate screen.
cons: sims are NOT dual active .
u cannot ask for more from a Rs. 9000 device.

I have this phone for the last 1 month and Skype Video call feature is not available.
Fring Video call work on 3g and wifi.
But some how skype is not working, I guess the skype software is not compatible with this model.
Another issue I noticed is , SD card looses its connections all the time, and keeps saying preparing SD card.

Really we donot understand why Samsung manufactures so many Android phones, such as Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos with such low-screen-resolution, i.e. LQVGA.............. At the same price, other mobile companies like Htc, Sony, Lg manufacture Android phones with better-screen-resolution, i.e. HVGA.

When talking to computerised customer care and giving options 1, 2 or 3 it is easy by keypad as compared to touch phones.

uv, 15 Mar 2012see the samsung official website mate....it is 2 mp only...... moreI am using this phone for more than 1 month.. camera has 3 options ,1.3Mp,2 MP and 3 MP ..you can choose what ever you want ..Zooming is not possible in 3MP..2 and 1.3 allows zooming ..

Looking forward buying this in Europe. As far as I could see there are not so many countries where this phone is available and the cheapest one seems to be Greece with 140€.
Can anybody tell me the closest shop from Athens International Airport where I could buy this unit ? Or maybe a shop at the airport itself ? (I read that there are 2 electronics shops in the terminal).
Does Wind sell the phone without contract ?
I travel a lot for my job and will probably come over there soon :p
