Black berry curve or samsung galaxy ??Samsung is so much better considering you have compared a developing os that being android to a rim os which is constantly hitting problems with switches going down internationally. Blackberies suck and if I had one I would pay someone to take it. Take the advice, go android....plenty of add ons for free and no lock down from the os.

I love the phone very much, but theres a problem when entering the ussd string an the phone and the battery thing. When entering the ussd command continually over and over it eventually stops and give an error message, any body has a similar problem and how do I fix this. And also about the battery, it takes quite a while to charge but it doesn't last as long on standby mode, is there anything I can do for this?

hi there! my SGY's backlight turns on automatically and after a few seconds it turns off, then it repeats again even it is in locked mode. can somebody help me to solve this problem??? thanks in advance. :)

i love this phone. and its durable. dropped it from a jeepney coz some kid bumped me and it flew like a meter away and its still alive. maybe it was due to the jelly casing pad i bought that helped it survive that horrendous fall. the specs are okay for me. its just a simple android phone. im not that choosy with my apps and gadgets. first phone I bought with my own money and it was really worth every penny. though the downside is the battery with my girlfriend and bro but I have no issues regarding the batt.

titoy, 05 Apr 2012galaxy y is better than xperia x8. I am not agree with you. I think Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 is better thn galaxy y. The reasons are-
-Xperia X8 has dedicated GPU.adreno 200. No dedicated GPU in galaxy y. So X8 is better for 3D gaming and application.
-Galaxy y display resulation is very poor. Only 240*320. While Xperia X8 offer 320*480 HVGA display. Galaxy y struggle to run some application and video becouse of poor screen resulation.
- Xperia X8 has 16M color in its display. Galaxy y has only 256K color. Image and video looks clear and sharp in X8. Beside X8 display has better viewing angle.
-Galaxy y got a poor 2Mp camera. Xperia X8 has a 3.2MP camera which can absorbe better color compare to SGY
-Xperia X8 has a scratch resistance glass display,which is actually a high end smartphone feature. U do not need any screen protector. This feature is not available in SGY.
-Only CPU clock of xperia x8 is a bit slower thn galaxy y. This not actually a big issue. X8 can run any application that galaxy y can.X8 support HD Games.
-android verson is older in x8. This also not a big issue. Custom gingerbread rom available for x8. Which turns x8 better thn galaxy y.

thanx.download samsung kies from www.samsung.com/kies and there will be an option for update the firmware click it will download and install it but backup your data before doing this and charge your phone

update your android os to 2.3.6, it will improves the battery performance of your unit, so far, this phone works perfecly as my backup phone to my galaxy note, good job samsung..
