I think it is a good value for the money.
Its a low end smartphone which works well,has a cheap plastic screan you have to be carefull with,other than that it works well.

Having read from recent users saying that it ca be recording directly from radio stations, it is true.

jst awesome!!!awesome phone wid awesome speed...battery lasts more than one day now after installing juice defender and mobile guard....i can also play hd games now after installing chainfire 3d pro...games like gt racing academy,dungeon hunter,gangstar WCH,GTA 3,nfs shift,battleheart,hawx runs widout any lag..go for it guyzz...itz simply da best entry-level phone!!!

i m using it from last month.......
its a complete package
good ram good processor speed & vry important good price
but u have to compromise littlebit with camera
galaxy y colourplus is best it comes with android 2.3.6
many HD games also runs in this mobile check www.mobile9.com

i bought galaxy y ,started using , it was given duplicate battery , the battery was very poor.It will not stay for 1 day even. I went to the shop next day , replaced the full set , with the other new piece , now it very good .The battery is very good.It is staying for 5 days effectively.

C'mon guys, Sumsung release such a great phone also with a considerable features, if you want a better screen, better everything, just simply buy higher grade phone, with also come with a higer price....

Mobile is super but having limited battery capacity. if they hve increase the capacity of battery its a perfect one.

I am not able to end calls because of the blank screen after every call for about 30s.And even after that when I hang up call my phone freezes for about 2 minutes.Either I have to wait for two minutes or remove battery.I turned of proximity sensors so that screen doesn't becomes dark.But still after ending up call my phone hangs.

I'm loving this device from the day I brought it. With aircel unlimited PI this device is awesome.... Can't complain about battery while buying this for 6.5k.
I've modified this device with some tweaks. So now its supersmooth and battery backs up for 6-7 hrs for heavy use and 2-3 days on moderate use.
Thank you Samsung for this device.... Also I've learnt many things after buying this...
