i have this phone weeks now.. apps are good! regarding battery issue just download BATTERY SAVER in MARKET
to save battery.. mine would take 2 days before it will drain.. of course if you keep on playing it will drain your battery just like any other phones.. try to download as well KILLER APPS to kill apps that are not properly closed.. it can also drain your batt. hope i did help you.. c u around nxt time.. :)

hi! i just noticed that this phone's battery life doesn't last for a whole day, for 12-14 hours it would consume 50% of its battery life without me knowing it, how can i save it's battery life, is there an app?

Disadvantage of hacing galaxy y.
First. the battery life sucks. I had only 2 hours of texting plus music playing through earphones. I have to charge it every now and then. Some says if I lower the screen brightness, battery life will be better. Well the outcome is worst. If Im outside, I cant see the screen. The screen is so poor. Apps are good but once youve got alot of useless apps on your phone. youll run out of memory and a bit sluggish response. 2mp camera is the baddest thing. Others have 5 mp AF. The screen is so small, and its hard to type on the tiny qwerty keyboard. No secondary cam :( And the worse experience I ever had was when my classmates attempted to open my phone though the maze. They have entered a lot of wrong gestures. And My phone was locked for hours. :(( Video recording is the worse. Poor camera.
