For those with battery issues try: Settings> Accounts and sync> un tic background data.
You will have select and deselect it again whenever you use market, you will notice a big difference in your battery usage.

i have been using this phone for a week now and i am thoroughly satisfied by its performance within the specs. First of all it's an entry segment smartphone; so donot expect a hi-fi 8MP dual camera and multitasking with several applications like chat, internet browsing, document viewing all at the same time. U'll be satiated using them separately. The 2MP camera without the flash is modest in daylight as it gives images in 1600x1200 pixel format and aspect ratio.Do not buy this if u r into smartphones for camera and showbiz. Think of it as an added feature in this phone. Touch screen is crisp and faced no problem whatsoever with messaging and notes. Display is superb for some smartphone in this category.it's not AMOLED. MP4 HD videos get stuck a little bit when played on MOBOPLAYER, but audio is good with the 5.1 channel speaker enabled on earphones. Battery life is short..need to recharge almost daily even without talking much and around 1hr usage of wi-fi+media.

Wow!!.
At start i also faced problems like call and battery.
But, now
I found a best solution for battery as well as incoming call bug:) i'm really happy!.
1).For battery issue download "juice defender".
2). And for call issue just update device software firmware version from 2.3.5 to 2.3.6 via "kies" or go to service center. In both way Its free !!
, before battery was 6 hours talktime now it is extended with 8 hours. Personally tested and success.!
Performance is excellent.
Samsung galaxy y is a great budget phone in the range 7k..
