Dear samsung galaxy Y Fans, lot's of user asked about its battery life. So i got this mobile last month- really battery is very worst. Trust me guys if i fully charge and use 3g continues battery last for exactly 1 hour 40 minutes in 2g network it comes for 2 hour. LOL :D and if i don't use internet , and listen music in headphone then it comes for 3 hour 30 minutes. Its battery drains very fast while using internet .. In standby (without using ) it goes for 13 hours. . My own experience and tested. . Performance is excellent sometimes rarely hangs:(

Wow is it? My friend use X8 (I install the froyo for him) and only need 45 mins to charge. With regular usage (twitter and facebook) battery last for 24 - 30 hours. For heavy usage (always using the phone nonstop) it last for 6 - 7 hours.
Music listening (80% volume) with headset took about 4% of the battery an hour with data ON.
I'm considering this phone or x8 as my secondary... Looking at the spec this phone better on processor, and multi touch. X8 has better screen density, video @30fps and camera.
And I'm worried about the charging.. It took so long reading from your reviews.

i just bought this phone yesterday, and this phone is great. when i bought it, the seller at samsung told me that it has only one color, silver only. im downloading applications and its fast, i really dont know if its just the wifi connection but its fast i have no trouble downloading at all. very soft touch. i really like this phone, and its affordable. And when i got this phone, it has a 50%battery, and till now i havent charge it yet, ive been exploring this phone the whole night and i played a game too. so i think the battery can last long. The seller, told me the 1st charging, is 4hours and the normal charging is 2-2.5 hours. hope this help. will post again if i found some problems. tnx

how many hours does this phone's battery take to get fully charged? is it true that it takes 3-4 hours? im only interested on phones that charge 2-2.5 hrs max. i'm a heavy user...games, internet in particular and i hate waiting longer than 3 hrs charging time. pls anyone kind enough to answer? does it offer fast charger? if not, i think i'll have to wait for nokia c5-06.

Those who are using this phone, pls tell me whether I can connect it as a modem to access internet; just as a nokia phone can be connected in nokia mode through nokia pc suite to connect to internet. I hav never used samsung or android phone, but i'm planing to buy it as its under 7k and in my budget.
