Switch off your phone
Press volume up button and home button and lock button till you see the logo
You will get into boot menu
Use volume down button to go to factory reset and press home button
Then again go to 'yes' using volume down button and press home button.

samsung galaxy y is a good phone for people who do simple things
It sometimes is slow and the battery doesnt work for much time .. but in general is a good phon 4 old people, children and people who need to be connectted but the most important things.
