Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 specs leak

Vlad, 14 June 2024

Earlier today the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold6's specs were leaked, and now it's time for the same treatment to be applied to the Galaxy Z Flip6. The phone is said to come with a 6.7-inch 1080x2640 Dynamic AMOLED 2X folding screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 3.4-inch 720x748 Super AMOLED cover display, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset at the helm.

This will be paired with either 256GB or 512GB of storage. The main camera is a 50 MP unit with f/1.8 aperture, which might be the same one used in the Galaxy S24 family and the Galaxy Z Fold5. The ultrawide remains unchanged from the Flip5 at 12 MP.

For selfies the same 10 MP camera as last year will have to do. The Flip6 will only support Wi-Fi 6E and not Wi-Fi 7, but it will have 14 5G bands. There's also support for Bluetooth 5.3 and USB 3.2 Gen 1.

The Flip6 measures 165.1 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm when unfolded and weighs 187g. Those are exactly the same dimensions as the Flip5's, weight too. The Flip6 does however have a bigger 4,000 mAh battery.

The Flip6 is expected to be $100 more expensive than its predecessor, and you'll be the judge of how warranted that price hike is given the specs on offer. It will become available during Samsung's next Unpacked event which is rumored to take place on July 10, alongside the Fold6, Watch7, and Watch Ultra. The Galaxy Ring should finally get its full launch on that occasion too.

By bad soc you mean like exynos 990? That could very well happen with snapdragon 8 series and I have doubts about custom core architecture.
