Great phone, multifunctional, almost perfect with one big flaw - is not waterproof (noting that it is not for swimming and diving) as opposed to a gear sport model that has fewer functions and is waterproof for swimming. It is illogical that a top brand like Samsung is not able to make a waterproof smartphone. No matter how many other fantastic features, due to water resistance (swimming and diving), competitors will eat them on the market ...

Tien 3 update has jumbled up more problems than upgrade. Battery saving will stuck you there, until you reset. Sammy shu'd feel more responsible than careless. Twice up grade has complicated Tizen to Zero.

Can anyone using a Gear S3 with an iPhone tell me how you upgrade the Tizen software? Samsung have released a fix for the battery issue but the Gear S app for iOS has no Tizen upgrade option unlike the superior Android app.

Carefull not to try battery saving mode in tizen 3 os, you will stuck cannot back again.

We have two of these in the family and live them. But why does the watch use Bluetooth and not WiFi to connect with the phone? Soon as you walk into another room away from your phone it loses connection, defeating the object of having a smart watch.

do not get it wet. the warranty says good to 5 feet for 30 minutes. I wore it in the pool by mistake for 10 minutes in 6 inches of water and it would not turn on again. sent it back to Samsung and they returned it to me saying it was wet and not repairable. called and explained to them what had happened and they said whatever the technician said in his note when it was returned to me was all that i could expect from them. Their Warranty is obviously a lie and they will not stand behind their product.

This smartwatch suits only for notifications. It lacks standalone functionality, gpx files supporting applications with road tracking possibility, google services, color display off settings and etc. You can create your own root on Endomondo, but don't have possibility to follow it on your Gear. Gear S3 Sport will lack this functionality either.
Samsung, enable these features on S Health, otherwise this watch does not differ much from simple smart bands.

Price further reductions to 220$ boxed. But a headache to continously connect both via Bluetooth and WiFi or mobile data. Waist of both batteries zero within a year. LTE version more economical, but need two numbers each, watch plus mobile.

When 8s Tenzin 3 version updating,it's long overdue. Only today news that sports has already had it,now S3 turn. But price wise it's still expensive,than contemporaries.

I want a bigger screen minimum 1.5" in a body similar to current gen. Complete independence from the phone, bigger storage 8gb, bluetooth and ANT+ alone better health tracking accuracy. Swappable bands. Downloadable maps would be great for outdoors, Gear 4 announcements but not without these features.
