In video i think both i450 and N81 maybe on par, but they both use different chisets. The i450 has a TI OMAP2431 CPU at 330mhz and the N81 has a Freescale I.MX31 at 369mhz. The N81 may have a slight advantage due to higher Jbenchmark scores but i doubt it will be noticeable.

If you want to play "high quality" videos you shouldnt be looking at any phone. You will find with any phone watching videos will run though the battery also the screen isnt that big. Try looking at some the new creative zens or maybe an ipod video

@ tsepz..
finally, you've been enlightened by the i450...:-)it really only takes to hold this phone side by side with n81 and u can easily come up with a conclusion that this is a better looking phone & with all the connectors properly placed & covered - that's samsung expertise for you..the material used is of higher quality too & the keypad is totally nice..very easy to text..
however, im not quite satisfied with the sound in the headset & even in the loudspeaker..it's low for a music phone...N95's stereo speaker is louder..anyone, what's the best equalizer setting to use?
but still, n81 is a good phone too..with wi-fi & the 3D gallery view..and ofcors, more RAM, but u will hardly notice it..it depends on wat u really want..

Yes but i prefer playing music if using loudspeaker with the phone totaly closed, otherwise the speaker is fantastic.
And i TOTALY agree, they realy do compliment each other. What made me choose the N81 was the Wi-Fi, full Music Keys, and the Sliding Lock which is very handy, but ye if you are looking at i450, dont hesitate, its A LOT more comfortable in hand than N81. Both are the same thickness though. 17.9mm.

I am using both the N81 and i450. I have to disagree that the sound speaker is at the wrong place, you have to slide it down to the speaker mode and the sound quality is fantastic, better than N81 but when it comes to listening to music using the headset, N81 is better. N81 has the dedicated music button players on the main keypad which is very convenient but it's bulky and body quality is not good.I find that both phones compliement each other. N81 has the wifi and music player( which I prefer) , i450 is better in sending text messages, listening to music with speakers and playing games( better keypad).
I really love this phone a lot along with N81. For those who are thinking of this phone, don't hesitate.

Well a friend of mine recently got the i450 from Vodacom (Vodafone Branded). Must say, this is an AMAZING phone, i playd on it for quite some today and compared to my N81. What i found was that the i450 has a great build quality, better than my N81, also its lighter, and its interface looks better than the NOKIAs of the same OS, BUT the little RAM (21mb on boot), missing Wi-Fi,and badly placed loudspeaker realy let it down but otherwise its a great phone, i still prefer my N81 over the i450. Sound quality is similar via headphones i havent compared loudspeaker volume, but the i450 seems to be a little louder, and both Navi-wheels are similar although the N81 has an advantage of that the navi-wheel works in more Menus and with its new FW update the Navi-wheel will work on the menus with long lists like Contacts and Horseshoe menu.
Overall i can't name a winner, it realy depends, if you want Wi-Fi, More RAM for Multitasking, Gaming buttons, and Multimedia buttons then get the N81 otherwise if you don't need the above then get the i450.
PS: I was shocked at how similar the Menus look and operate, its almost as if the i450 is a NOKIA S60v3 device in a SAMSUNG body.

is it just me, i discovered that when i make voice calls often the other party on the line complaining cannot hear my voice, stating its very soft compare my old phone SE or Nokia. I have set everything to maximum. So when I used the headset, then the other party only can hear clearly.

Don't get 6500 Slide way too many problems, almost every single one reverts back to factory settings amongst other things, this phone is much better.
