Ara, 19 Aug 2008Please can anyone unswer within 13 hours(then I'll be buyin... moreit will actually GIVE YOU the altitude and longitude without any additional applications and thats through clicking GPS data icon in tools folder , but ofcourse you gotta be in an open area...;)
really good phone , recommend it!

Please can anyone unswer within 13 hours(then I'll be buying a mobile). Can the GPS function work "as is" - without maps - just give the location in longitude and latitude? I doubt if my country has a decent GPS map... But i want to use it while hiking in wild...

well, I rotated the display in landscape (like in N95) using 3rd party app called RotateMe , google it ...:)

the Samsung i550W is a very nice phone, recommended by me, for all who don't like the battery, adjust your display brightness in a moderate way! DO NOT SET DISPLAY BRIGHTNESS TO MAX >> this will make your battery life very short, also try making the dim time shorter , switch off bluetooth when not in used...,etc.
GOOD LUCK, i550 > CHEAP , PACKED and RECOMMENDED !

Use EDGE or 3G connection to use
