Nice specs, but camera, display, screen size and colours doesn't give the excellence of an android phone

[deleted post]Galaxy 5 is an android phone and it is way better than C5 with all the features.. so if you are looking for an android phone less than 10k.. go for this..

Just one question...I noticed that when i use Wi-Fi it automatically disconnects when i get 2meters far from a source...it gets back when i place the phone near it. Sorry for my ignorance.. somebody please help me.

If you can't find it in mobile stores in India, buy it online from flipkart.com. They sell it for Rs.8,999/- (tax & shipping included. They've got cah-on-delivery option too.

hey this one is real good stuff. very good speed, good screen, good audio, and well its real cheap you have 1000s of application u can download from android market. the processor is 600 mhz and the RAM is 186 well the touch sensitivity is real good and i think a similar spec with HTC will be double the price. its now available in INDIA

Galaxy 5 (i5500)does not come with multi-touch nor does it support divx and xvid formats. But these are hardly the things u should consider before opting for a budget phone. Its not like you use this phone to watch videos all the time. You can easily convert the videos into mpg etc before u load them into the phone. Youtube has a video which shows Galaxy 5 delivers better FPS when compared to Galaxy 3 (i5503) in games and animation (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnWZwXVlv3Q)You dont have to know the language - just watch the video full. Galx. 5 came upto 45 fps and Galx. 3 came upto only 12 fps. This might be because of the relatively small screen but definitely its a good thing. And the 1 megapix difference hardly makes any difference. This is the best budget Android running on OS version 2.1 which is available within 10k (IND). Galaxy Spica (not featured on ebay) is another option which you might want to check out if you are willing to spend arnd 12-13K, but note that Spica was originally Android v1.6 which was later upgraded to 2.1 but I'm not sure if they upgraded to 2.1 in India as well. However, I suggest you keep away from Galx. 3 the main reason being the FPS rate tho it comes with multi-touch n a 3MP cam. (FPS - Frames per second. The normal FPS reqd for you to watch a movie is 24FPS. Anything less than that will make it look choppy and slow). I wouldn't spend 12K for a phone which has bad FPS performance.
Best way to choose a phone when money is a constraint is to look at performance, applications n stuff. Dont get caught with details like 1 Megapixel difference or one extra type of file support (DivX/xvid). Multi-touch is definitely good but its not like its impossible to live without it. Otherwise, if you've got the money then go in for a HTC. So, pls visit a lot of sites n explore before u decide. Peace :)
