I am thinking of buying this phone but there is only one thing holding me back: How is the screen resolution, is it pixelated?
Is the difference very noticable in terms of display resolution with other devices (e.g. htc legend)?

Hi every one,
I purchased this handset yesterday in Noida Sector 18 (very opposite to The Great India Palace),
Hereby I am adding some hands on experience:
1. The Indian version is Samsung Galaxy 3 GT-i5801, 2GB memory card included.
2. Installed about 50 applications
3. Everything is working fine.
4. "advanced task killer free" is necessary coz Android is multitasking operating system. All the apps runs in background, even though u close the app. That may cause to run any android phone slow.
So u need to kill them manually. U can configure this app to other options (e.g. Automatic safe kill etc.)
5. This is not a very slow phone as I read in the reviews.
6. Net connectivity is very good.
6. Android market (pre-installed) works very well and is main and best source for applications (ie. no need to wander here and there).
7. Automatically detects edge (internet by service provider) settings.
8. Only three desktops are there. But I saw in the reviews with 7 desktops.
9. Live wallpapers not supported.
10. Headphone sound seems to be bit low.
PS:
Is it possible to increase the no.of desktops in this handset.

I purchased this device yesterday. Its really excellent. The phone is speed and touch sensitivity is really very good. Video quality is also very good. I have installed many apps all works fine. Headphones provided in box is not so good bass is very low. I have no problem gps it locked my positon very quickly but is is not very accurate in gmaps. I installed launcher pro works fine no problem, no lags etc. Kinetic scrolling in music player is bit slow. Streaming video quality is very nice. I'm from India and i bought it for Rs.12200. Its really a worth of money. And there is no problem with screen resolution.

cybertron, 03 Sep 2010Just for your info: AGPS is supposed to speed up the lockin... morei know it is supposed to speed it up. but when u dont have any navigation system installed in ur phone which is quiet expensive and not provided with this phone, then there is only agps used to lock position in this phone which is using either ur network or wifi.

to detect the mobile directly you need to download and install android mobile driver
And using kies for the first time it took 20 min to initialize but later it worked fine

Like that werent enough, since yesterday, kies has stopped recognizing my phone...
even windows doesnt show the memory card as an ext storage device or anything...
these 2 problems plagueing me and if any one can plzz help me solve them...
