hey, it is stated that it is updateable to froyo. it means it has flash version 10.1. Can u watch youtube using your browser?

On resolution,today morning I just browsed some video loaded by the shopkeeper the 2GB card came along with the phone.Yes they are Pixalated!!!
But thy are playing smooth.
1.On speed,with 256MB memory,this phone is quite smooth is browsing in operations.
2.On Battery life I felt it is quite decent-Anycase My usage is also limited.
But in eithercase,it is difficult to belive that a 1500mAh battery drains in 3 to 4 hrs?

games aside, do all the apps work on its rather unusual resolution??...
i mean design oriented things like launcher pro might not work but i want tat app to work on the phone if i hav to buy this...
can any one with the phone plzzz test launcher pro? :)

[deleted post]I got it for 12,500 jus yesterday...i downloaded a racing game bt it didnt worked fine.....nd 1 thing more there are no live wallpapers in it.....the screen size is small nd sumtimea irritating....
Bt the main problm is battery....

Anycase what I recommend is to call up the mobilestore (you can find the Kochi stores with storelocator)and ask for the price.Mobilestore price is 12170/ or try to find the samsung plaza shops in your city.

Hey guys plzzz I am recommending u that do not go for this phone.......this is just another piece of shit from Samsung......i live in New Delhi and i hd got this phone yesterday......since now i have charged this 3 times and now again it is low on battery........do not go for this, this thing is shit........the processor is slow and the graphics are really poor, many android apps do not run on this phone. the touch screen is awful and you have to touch 3 times the same thing.....dont go for this 1......rest ur choice......i hv done my job of warning u as I am follower og gsmarena.net

Does it support Tv-out?
The reviewer say it support DLNA that is compactable with tv and computer & one say it tv out is unavailable. I m confused.

i am keen on using "pro-launcher", "facebook app" and games on the phone once if anyone has any experiecne with this apps on this resolution, please comment

PL Not that My opinions to be discounted with a fact that I am first user for Android and TOuch phone also my interest is on essential texting/mailing whenver I am not near to the Laptop and other regular uses like occassional Photos,Bluetooh while driving etc..
ANycase ,this phone is highly responsive may ne due to the 256MB ram or Eclain 2.1.

In some reviews they mention that most apps do not show up on the Android Market on the galaxy 3 due to its resolution (240x400). Wanted to know if you are facing any such compatibility issues. But turns out, your experience has been good till date.

Not sure whether what exactly you expect by markt experience.
From phone you can happily go to market,download all the applications.
If question is on any graphics centric application performance/look & feel,honestly I idn't tried out that.
All I was interested was on the APN droid,Task killers,Handcent SMS,profile managers etc tc..which doesn't gets into graphics much and all working great

I guess you didn't notice my earlier posting.
"THis handset(I5801 ) is available in Kochi(Kerala,India) in Samsung privellage partner shops and Samsung plaza at the rate of 12000 and 12150 Rs.
Samsung I5500 is also availabe ,cost is 9000Rs"
This phone have all the Google Application which is mentioned in the GSM arena specification like talk,map,navigation etc etc....
From the Market,I am using Handcent SMS,Advanced Task killers, Simple profle managers etc but didn't gave any resolution issues.
More importantly it has 25MG RAM and 170MB ROM hich is quite enough for a users like me(No gaming at all!!)
Another part is ther the software is almost close to Galaxy S ,so due similiarity to the premimum segment phone,this phone is sure to have the Froyo.
On the resolution part,I didn't anything very bad with the browsing,but very honestly I am also in the phase of exploring it.
