This phone has wqvga (240x400) resolution. How does that effect the android market experience? Are most apps incompatible? Pl comment.

could you please tell me where u bought the phone coz univercell says they are taking pre-orders now..
anyways i was wondering if all the android apps are working on ur phone because android apps are primarily developed for 320*480 so was wondering if apps and games would work on this one...
If u can get ur hands on the android market, could u please tell me if the all the apps are working?
and also i heard tat text is choppy in the webbrowser could u elaborate on it.. my prev phone is a nokia s40 (3600s)so would hav any regrets i m guessing...
and finaly how much did u buy your phone for?
wats ur verdict on the phone ???

Regarding our posting
1.It is lready released in India and I am using it for the last 4 days(I am from Kochi,Kerala)
2.What exactly is yor quries.
If it is about resultion ,I don't the resolution issues are evident unless otherwise it is kept near to Galaxy S or I5700.
If yo are further queries,AFAIK,I will know(Pl mind that I am new user to Android as well as touch screen)

univercell.in says it costs Rs.10769. Everywhere else says Rs.12k.

this phone is perfect.
no competitor in this range.
on many sites i found that this phone cost's is around 12000.
is this true?
plz reply i am waiting.
this phone is better than x6 8gb, 5800 xpress music by spics.
nokia phone is just good by their designs not by specs.
samsung is actual winner.

the resolution i should say is wierd and am scared tat all apps wont work and also i am guessing the text in web browser would be crappy sum one who has the phone or can go to the showroom n see please clear my doubts :)

Samsung I5500 is also availbe ,cost is 9000Rs.

that would be very sad if apps dont work for this resolution... could samsung jus increase the price a lil bit n go for the standard 320*480 resolution :(
i expected gsm arena to test a few apps n see how they work on this resolution cause they posted the same doubt in their preview.
i thought this could be my first android n this problem comes up :(

Live wallpapers can be run on galaxy 3 using a 3rd party software .... but then again i dont kno if there 1 for 240x400 resolution

There used to be a software to downsize 240x320 resolution to 128x240 resolution in java phones
Ppl plz search for a similar 1 for android
If its out there, galaxy 3 is unbeatable at present
If not i'll go for nokia c6
N DoNt BuY GaLaXy 3 if there no such software out there ... Most android apps WoNt work .... it would be as good as buying a non-smart phone for 11k .. Thats PlAiN StUpID

Samsung I5800 Galaxy 3
-HSDPA, 3.6 Mbps
-No Live Wallpapers
-Cheaper
The Specs above are my only MAJOR issues. Why does samsung make Galaxy 3 like that???
