Hey friends
I Flashed my Galaxy 3 I5801 to android 2.2 and its working really well battery backup is improved very much. also you can connect to WiFi Hub. Performance of mobile has improved drastically.

Use Android Assistant.Your phone battery life will be for 2 days surely.In my opinion i5801 is better than i5800

Those who r saying battery backup is poor..i flashed my rom to kyrillos 4.1 nonOC rom .now my battery backup almost doubled ...official rom have poor battery backup...go for custom kyrillos 4.1nonOC based on froyo rom

I should have bought cheaper Ideos Phone with Android 2.2 Froyo than this phone. It is very difficult to upgrade it from 2.1

I have upgraded my Galaxy 3 to Android 2.2, but i still cannot install Live wallpaper. It says unsupported file, please upgrade your phone. Even 2.2 doesnt support wallpaper?? pls tell me

first you have to download kies from sumsung site,then do reset ur phone as it cannot get upgraded without it.then run kies after connecting ur phone via usb cable.it may take time to bout 30 mins to upgrade but donot run any other program in ur system while phone is being upgraded.it took me 3 times to upgrade my mobile,
but froyo{2.2}do have demerits as swype get stuck if u upgrade ur phone.rest is gud phone becomes fast and various things.
so happy upgrading.
