I think Samsung plan to upgrade G3/G3 Apollo to Android Gingerbread2.3 instead of Froyo2.2
It can be possible look at the specs of;

see the post's end for download link. download the apk file and then install it like any other app.
the apk file will be in ur SD CARD

dear frinds , it is bad mobile because call drop and low battery and occasionly shutdown problem.I AM REPENTING FOR BUYING IT .SANSANG NE THAG LIYA

Hi all
I have posted many review before.
Regarding video pkayback. Its awesome considering d specs n pricem I watched two movies on it. Avatar n impulse. Later is one adult movie. So I can say clarity actually mattered a lot. Fine colours. Awesome
Avatar as we all know is high graphic film ws the real test for this phone. And all my friends were amazed to see what it could do. Entire film played without a single issue.
Also the typing swype keyboard is one awesome experience. I enjoy my phone too much. Its been a month and this is the fi rst phone I'm still playing with. Else hardly a week is the craze on for me.
With advance task killer I made my battery life better.
can any one update on it s upgradation status to froyo in india.

Dear all G3 users, hope Samsung is listing to us.
Like LG optimus is going to upgrade to Gingerbread, I hope Samsung should also do something (atleast upgrade to 2.2 fast). Also do something for 2.3 also.

nice fone. good camera and sound quality but extremely low battery backup despite modest use and irritatingly high call drop rate

plea... moreHey you have your own blogs and pages for optimus one, the only reason you are here is that you think that you made a bad decision buying optimus one and now jealous of galaxy 3 users, you are trying to prove yourself that that optimus one is better than g3....

And us harsha, I am very much satisfied from your answer..but about the java thing,i will object a little, my friends one with symbian and other one with android I.e. sony ericson mini pro play the game which has extension of jar, but my phone says unsupported format...
Are you sure it supports java..and ya, of there is a application out there to make it support ..if any one else also know about it then do tell me, and if anyone else has any questions about this phone, do tell me;)

Guys i have few queries..
1) whenever i tilt my phone it doesnt switches itself to landscape mode.. coz i hav seen it happen on my friends same galaxy 3. dunno y it is not working on mine..
2) Anyone can guide me STEP BY STEP how to backup and restore data to my phone again like messages , contacts.. etc using KIES..
coz i have tried it.. it backups my all data but how to restore it i am not able to figure out..
3) Also tell me is there ANY OTHER WAY to backup all my data and then restore it to my phone again..
4) Any news regarding android 2.2 upgrade..??
i hav heard dat lg optimus one is getting android 2.3
even though it has lesser processor than galaxy 3 i.e 600 Mhz only whereas samsung galaxy 3 has 667 Mhz processor...
Plzz help..

In reply to the e 61 user you are right you should have never gone for this phone coz no smart phone would give you a battery life as your nokia...android is the best platform for people who use the phone not just for internet and makin calls you can do a whole lot more which you dont deserve
