Its not a simple mpbile phone. It do have an operating system and it supports multi tasking. So once we open an application it will not close until we close it manually.
I had downloaded "Android Assistant" a free application from the android market. By using this application I can kill the unwanted or opened applications. This will save the battery back up. Even in the accounts settings you have to uncheck "back end data" option.

hey friends, i use this phone, good phone. All things works properly.no problem. But a small problem that its battery backup is very low.i have to charge my mobile everyday. But if i off gps.this problem resolve.overall i like it.

I bought this phone, little satisfied with 2.1 eclair, after installing 2.2 Froyo on this phone i feel better speed and application support. Good phone...

The problem is that the battery power will lose with time.I asked it with a samsung techie.The only problem will happen to this phone is that the battery back up will lose with time.You can use freely up to 1 may be 2 Years,then sell it and grab a new one.

I bought this mobile only for battery but i am not satisfied. In the spec they gave 25 days back up, Atleast it should give 5 days backup, if you use it.
I charged my mobile fully then i didn't use it. I just kept it in desk. when i saw after a week, it was swithched off. How can they say it gives 25 days backup. It's a false info guys.

I used my mobile for 6 months now I got only 2 days batery backup, if i am not using it to hear music or to call. If i use it gives only one day backup but in the specification they give 620 hours i.e. 25 days. haaaa, it is not even giving half of the specification.

hey guys pl tel me how to update android version 2.1 to 2.2..I 've been trying through kies but only kies is getting updated and not android...
An excellent phone from Samsung corp...its quite superb...

This is the best we can get for the money..You need to check how to use it and how to save the batter by turning off the unwanted applications.

DAK, 03 Aug 2011messaging,contacts everything opens slowly in my phone...ca... moreUpgrade to android 2.2 Used to happen to me too. used to take 5 seconds to open the dial pad. Once u have apps2sd move ur apps to memory card and the phone will work real fast :)
