Try pressing and holding the home key .. then a small window opens which contains many icons such as calculator, messaging, setting, music player etc ...
How to close them ?

Can we put clock widgets on i5801 like in htc phones?
Also can we put themes on it?
Is there a htc theme for i5801?
I got a hands on of the phone at ezone pune. Its good, also tried swype and it was awsome. But in the display settings the only option was to change brightness. No theme or font change?
Am I missing something?

samsung i5801 vs optimums gt540
multitouch / it will never get
667ghz pro / only 600ghz
256 ram+ 512rom/ same ram but no info on rom
will upgrade to2.2(100%)/ no info available( may be not)
it has samsung brand (good reputed mobile brand) than lg. 1 more thing i5801 has in-ear headphone lg dont have(genaral headphone) *not good 4 musik.and i5801 has better touch seance + 16mil color than lg 265k(65K active). so friends think again before buying... what do u want a phone running 2.2( u know da +points of 2.2) or 2.1. and also i want to let u know that still if u buy gt540 u will get android 1.6 and then u have to go to ccare to upgrade it to 2.1

i think i5801 is better than i5800.
why ? because i saw i5801 has 2 small censors for automatic brightness adjustment. but i5800 dont have theme. check yourself. so this is the + point of getting i5801 ha ha ha...

I got it for 11900 .... Very nice Android phone to have in this range .. Thumbs up !!!!!

[deleted post]if u really want to be an android'ite then go for HTC. They will give Firmware updates in time.
But if you have price limits, Galaxy 3 is the best bet. [i5801 India; i5800 NRIs]
P.S.
LG big NO NO on build quality.
But i must say LG customer service support is pretty good.

i saw a lot of antivirus software in the market do we really need them. i thought it runs on Linux based android os and Linux dont catch virus. any suggestion friends. any of u have any virus problme ?

which was given by the salesman form Samsung's local distributor to my friends mobile shop and it says like i5801 ex vat 10577.** + 12.50% of vat and then the price is 11,900. believe me i saw it. and byda way how did u get da dp price? ....... friend

Bought it @ 11690 @ Chennai b4 2 weeks. Hope we can get cheaper than this. Good Phone. Worth every penny.
Came with a default TWLauncher.
Just updated with LauncherPro Plus 8 and phone looks better now.
But need to check the try TWLauncher, because i feel this is more Professional & Memory Efficient.

If yes please let me know how to connect and which drivers to install.
When i select mass storage it shows removable disk but when i click on it it shows empty or application cannot run.
