I can manage to make out that you claim to be an engineering student and want an MBA (why an MBA???). You also say that in your country they are selling Civic hybrids at half price MSRP. Please tell me what country you live in so I can go buy all the unwanted Civic hybrids and sell them in the US, that's serious cash. Either way, you buy cars from from dealers, not Honda. Dealers can charge whatever price they choose independent of the manufacturer, the MSRP is just a starting point. Samsung sells phones in bulk to retailers, outlets, and carriers, and they follow this same business model. I don't think you'll do well pursuing an MBA...

    @Rohit Deshpande: you're pursuing an MBA and you're writing like that? I can't even be bothered to read more then two lines from your post with that kind of writing.

    @Anonymous:
    You said the phone's cancelled. Can you give us some more info?

I knw OLED as wel as d concept of manufacturing cost n sales cost factor as m an engineering student n pursuing an MBA degree.. Price factor is straightly related to company's reputation n demand to tht particular product.. Fr eg:- If u knw thn honda civic hybrid price fell down frm 21lac to around 13lac juz cuz less demand n same feature as normal civic except d technology.. Thn Y company brought such car wth double price tag thn normal civic n thn cut down d price upto 9lac.. " JUZ CUZ DEMAND TO THT PRODUCT" despite honda civic hybrid technology is btr thn a normal mercedes c-class yt it cms half d price compare to it.. Juz cuz "REPUTATION".. Price determination is simply upon a company's internal n external factor nt distributor or retailer.. many products prices cum down whn dey suffers lesser demand whether itz automobile sector, electronics or ny othr.. Mny xample r around urs.. So in d last bt nt least "SAMSUNG S LIKE AN *AUDI* IN MOBILE PHONE SECTOR"

                The phone is already going to cost quite a bit due to the OLED screen. Cell phone markets don't work the way you assume, the phones don't all cost the same to make and then are priced according to demand. Since they're produced in large volume, cost of manufacturing and materials is a more direct factor to MSRP. The retailers are the ones who will raise the sales price, but I doubt they check comments on GSMArena.

                Also, you type like my 12 year old niece.

                      samsung has big big timing proglem about competing to other brands. nokia has already launched gps phones with symbian. this cool shaped handy should be available before Nokia dominating the arena.

                              Nice phone and good specs, however does the i7110 lack a 3,5mm-audiojack connection? If so, I really really hope Samsung puts it in in the retail version. To my opinion, it's quiet a must for manufractures to put it in (nowadays). I'm also very curious about the music volume and quality on the stereo speakers. Hope Samsung does a good job on that!

                              Sidenote: This phone is pretty much comparable to Nokia's N78/N79. What do you guys think?

                                        I really like the design of this phone compared to the new samsung phones which are so dissapointing but I guess that's just alright because they are low to mid end phones.

                                        About the quality? Is it nice in real life?(Photo, ergonomics, sound production etc.)
