Phone is good with internet, how ever cannot sync the MS Outlook contacts and transfer files using Bluetooth. :(
If any one has any file thru which we can download copy contacts and calender then please let me know

This is the greatest phone ever; but you HAVE to flash it with new firmware and root it. Samsung cannot write software; it's a piece of crap right out of the box. But, after you install galaxo, it's the most awesome phone ever. I LOVE ANDROID. and this phone is sexy as hell.

Hey Guys :) ,does anyone knows how to back up the contacts from the fone to the SIM card,it only gives an option to import the contacts form the SIM card :S I wanna use the fone with a different user name so I know I am gonna loose everything on the fone memory.

I purchased galaxy but after using it i was so dissaponted from the performance ther was lot of problems in the andriod software.NO MUSIC QUILITY.Lot to improve in this cup cake.i beared loss of 5000rs in 2days and brought omnia 7610pro and really it is top most hand set ever i used,satisfied me from all terms.so think before to buy galaxy.My decision is no never not.

Can anyone comment on the firmware updates? I believe there was an update through phone in October, and also an update that someone people have gotten by phoning Samsung customer support and sending their phone to be "repaired". I know of one fix being the lock button now has a set time of 0.5 seconds rather than being fussy between 2-4 seconds depending on the state of of the phone, and the battery life is supposedly as good as originally claimed. Any information would be great, thanks.

all features are great, easy to use... BUT
battery is disaster
also... when typing a message, and you turn the phone, the message is removed and you have to re-write the message all over again :(

I'm quite happy with mine, posting from it now, actually. As soon as the shop I work in got one, I signed up for a contract straight away. The battery life was, at first, appalling. It originally lasted a few hours on standby. After a couple of overnight charges, however, I'm getting a couple of days of good use out of it, including the wifi, bluetooth, and GPS. Everything works pretty much as advertised, for me, but I'm beginning to feel like I have the only good one in the world. Two of my customers have since sent theirs back on warranty for a number of issues such as sifnal strength, battery life, and wifi network discovery. My evidence is obviously anecdotal, and may be subject to a bit of selection bias (maybe its just our shop), so I'd like to hear some other stories, preferably from people in phone shops, about the hardware fault rates others are seeing.
