Hi, i just bought this unit & its a GREAT machine, just want to know if i upgrade to WM6.1, is there a chance the unit will go "dead" (meaning cannot use it) i purchased this in Dubai, i check with Eros(the samsung guys) & they say it will go dead. PLEASE PLEASE let me know.

i already using it for 3 weeks. Very tough phone. I'm very happy to have it.

After using O2, Asus525, HTC-touch, IPAQ912, and NOW Samsung i780, I can conclude that this Samsung i780 is far better than those mentioned. Even it also has stylus and touch screen, but most convenient of all is that using qwerty key board is all I need most. For anyone looking for the "complete" operations, the i780 has proved itself to be the best one; full touch screen, if wanted (using both hands), or one hand using qwerty when needed. Full windows OS, what else we want? When manual "dialing" is needed, the numeric keys are direct operative as needed. Battery? I can get by upto 1 and half day (normal talking). I picked up a "pre-owned" i780 (for bht 7,500)in Bkk, thailand, 6 months ago intending to just try it out, and I've been satisfied with this little darn phone with no doubts till today.

it is a great smart phone with a speed colock 624 mhz..wow..amazing smart phone!!it's not too big and with it's simplicity i can get more and more action in internet connection...thanks...

hello guys anyone here how to extract files?im currently checking the site of xda-developers and there are so many applications for our phones just don't know how to put it in our phones or what to do on how to extract them, please share some knowledge and instructions on how to do it.it's a big help, thanks.

I have this i780 one. It's a great phone with relatively low budget. Unfortunately, the battery is too consumeable.

I never experienced that kind of problem. RealVGA w... moreGwapito, i try other installer the one with the outlookfix, before install there is a warning that says
"missing 96 DPI Resources bla bla bla"
with the installer before, i also have the same message but with this installer only has 2 missing dlls as oppose to previous installer with 5 missing dlls... and with this installer i can run 96dpi fine. also i installed manilla2dsquare

and the interface is a killer man. love the today theme but still needs several tweaks to make it run flawless...

I'm having trouble with sms feature. The messages are saved in just one box for each sender. Is there any settings to be modified for this? It appears as a conversation instead of single message. So if one peson texts me 7 times,it is stored in 1 message only. Appreciate help...Thanks

When i insert the i780 software CD into my Windows XP7 laptop i get an error "GSD.exe encountered an error and needs to close". PLease help. How can I get the software on my PC so I can synchronise???? Is this a compatibility issue?

To upgrade your WinMo to version 6.1, go to http://www.samsungmobile.com/support/i780/sg/version.jsp?country=sg&os=xp#
If your Version not correct, just fill in 4 words beginning with 'DX', and you'll get the updater.

I have been using it, tweaking it, and loving it. Trust me guys, for that price range, you cannot find anything else better. highly recommend using SPB mobile shell. I used version 2.0, wow me big time. just tried 3.0 last night, and it is another big wow. It brings Winmo to another level. iphone killer is not a phone, is the application. try search spb moblie shell video from youtube and you will be wowed too.

can sum1 tell me which one is beeter the i780 or the htc s710 becoz im just so cnfused on which 2 take bt im looking 4 sumthng that has 2 mp, micro sd, query keyboard it must business phone that i can also load my music and games. any that can help plz....
