Hi, just bought the i780. The phone kept shutting down on its own. Samsung did a one to one exchange but the new set did the same to me as well. Anyone out there can advise what I should do to stop this? Thanks

Does anyone know how the battery life is?
I have the i600 and it is crap, I have to recharge every 3 hours or so, and that is with the extra big battery...
I want to buy this phone, but I am scared of the poor battery performance...

Hi, could anyone advise the capabilities on the GPS? Is the GPS user friendly? Does it have to connect to GPRS when using the GPS? Will be much appreciate if anyone could advise on the issue asked. thank you

I've set up slingplayer with the i780 and it works but the picture gets really small in the left corner so it is pretty useless unfortunately =(
Se my post at slingcommunity and help me get them to fix this in the next update.

so...i have it.
my fist impression is this one: is smaller that i supposed it is and id verry fast.i will need some days of playng with to be able to say something alse.

I got this phone from the samsung roadshow at Lot 1, singapore. I used it for 1 week already and this phone is really amazing and the OS is fast, compared to o2...
Just realise that window mobile 6.1 just release, wondering if anyone knows how do i upgrade it and is it avaliable for upgrade for this phone as for now?

hello people.
I just order this device now.i hope i will be able to update it from WM6 to WM6.1 for free because the hardware platform it's extremly high and i suppose will run well.I just have a question for you:
I will use this device for pda-stuff and also to remotly connect via putty and vnc to some server in critical state.did some one of you use it with this sort of application ?

You can off your GPRS conection at Start-setting-connection-Data Call Manager-. This phone got it all. Love this phone. 3G,EDGE,WiFi,GPS receiver,optical mouse,touch screen, QWERT keyboard. Latest Marvell processor PXA311 624Mhz lastly, GOOD price compare others. The only drawback is lack of square screen software (but preinstalled software is sufficient), Maybe square software not just yet ;)

got the phone yesterday ..... its cheaper compared to other WM6 pda phone ... camera is jusk ok .... internet browsing is faster compared to my P1i .... sadly the package doesnt include a free memory card and an extra stylus ... instead, an extra battery ... fair enough...

Hi all, i want to know whether the following fatures are there on this mobile:
1)edit office documents
2)open email attchments and save them
3) easily get connected to Wi-Fi network
4)if want to add 2GB card.Can this hampers its performance.

Answers to your concerns:
1. Office Mobile Excel - should work perfectly well
2. GPRS on status - may slightly affect battery life. In most handsets, this feature indicates 'always on' link to the network that has already been established thus reconnection time is shortened the next time around.
3. threaded messages - should be available to the handset once the WM 6.1 update (free) becomes available; this may take longer than expected --> samsung needs to tweak the software for the square screen (320x320) and mouse cursor support
