my have this problem too - can't transfer asian character into the 4G scandisk microsd . so far install few software and game , working fine . great phone , only the ringtone bit soft .

Also...
I put a 4gb Sandisk micro SD. It works, except there's two bugs.
First, somehow my pc doesn't recognize the memory as a removable storage. So I gotta put in the phone and use the USB cable to transfer the data.
Second, no asian character can be used to store files in the memory chip.
So I ordered a 2GB micro SD to see if that solve the problem. And if it's faster during transfer.
I also stop using the mouse and use the control as a navigator (up/down, left/right).
So far, no complain. This thing is solid, except I'm still looking for an extended running battery. I don't care about the thickness, as long as the phone runs really strong.

This is my third review with incremental info.
I've played an .avi file with a free decoder, and... wow!... was my first impression. I thought I had a pocket TV: an impressive pocket TV!
I got a new pocket portable casio TV, and the i780 is even better than that. The i780 played flawlessly.
How new is that? I was watching Naruto Shippuuden episodes 52 (the second season). Guess how new that testing was.
The downside. Well, I was glad that I had Microsoft Voice Command that interrupted my episode by telling me that my battery was low. How long? Freaking low. 30% left for a 20 minutes episode. Ouch. And the phone was quite warm/hot to the touch.
I really don't care about the phone being warm, but I would be glad to get an extended battery. Then I could still have some juice left for surfing, and making some phone calls.
Furthermore, I have not been able to get a screen protector, and a good protecting case. I've tried E-*ay site, and no luck.
It's a good phone, but I need some accessories.
Also, I was unable to find a car charger. The second battery that comes with the phone free is nice to have but not practical. By hands can be real dirty. So swaping battery on a daily basis is bad.

About 320x320 and games: 320x320 it's a new (i think good resolution) introduced by MS with WM6. It's a standard resolution and I hope that in future all software houses will support that new standard.

chipmunk ... yes its a pocket pc and the reason we buy pocket pcs is because of the Operating System wich has a rich 3rd party company software market. Without 3rd party software any OS is dead. The 3rd party software wich uses graphics in full screen do NOT work on this phone. I'm not talking only games but all other software like GPS software and so on.

I hve tried this phone in JB, Tebrau City on 21 May 08. It has fastest processor compared to other Win OS mobile devices available in the market. Malaysia is selling at RM1999 on promotion.
I may own it if it is available in Singapore market soon before I change my mind.

It could have been the best pocket pc phone on the market but SAMSUNG blow its chance by adding the touch sensitive mouse pad wich is useless in Games (in some games don't work at all and in some its too slow for fast moves) and the Screen resolution wich makes 90% of Graphical Applications such as games not working!!! I own a i780 and only very few games work on this device (only games that display graphics in a Window such as boxworld ) the games that display graphics full screen do NOT work at all. So if u want to use this phone for games do NOT buy it. I will sell mine even though I just got it... ITS A SHAME SAMSUNG ! IT COULD HAVE BEEN THE BEST PPC PHONE EVER! And shame on Microsoft too for not adding better 320x240 resolution support !!! However this phone is the fastest ppc I ever seen...much much faster then HTC (tytn ii, touch dual etc)

I've ahd the phone a week now and i find the battery doesn't even last me a day! probably thats why it comes with 2 batteries. Rediculously poor all the same.

just got the phone yesterday.. well its a great design for a start, a slim PDA with just enough features. Started using mine today, will update for any issues.

Do you guys know you cannot hard reset the phone by button? Once your phone enter reset loop, you have to return it to Samsung to fix it. What a damn phone. FOr me, I tried one that both screen and keyboard became no response, i.e. a brick.

this phone is great and great value for money. MAC address is in settings..system..version. thanks TC for the S2U2! can u change the screensaver? mine keeps showing the clock and alarms but i want to personalize it instead...tnx in advance
