anybody experienced this?

My 4-month old Omnia II seems to be overheating and battery's being drained even when not in use (wi-fi/BT turned off), phone on stand-by.

My batt no longer lasts a day (started last Thursday only), and just a while ago, the phone became very hot while inside my bag, it was off, but very, very hot.

Even with wifi and bluetooth use I can make my phone last up to 3 days, now it's doing this. Drains 40-50% batt life even when not in use.

Is the current hot summer weather a factor?

    Nomad,

    1.) Your number one question was how to change the date of DMY, first go to the icon Clock after that go to World Clock after that again Click New after that click Search after that choose what lcountry are you from then click Done after you choose your country after that mark the box SET as HOMECLOCK then press done, after that click the country you have chosen, then after clicking it, go to Date and there you can change the DMY by just pressing the plus if you want to adjust the time or press the minus sign if you want to decreased the time, after that press done.

    2.) your second question what GPS prog to get my answer is you can get any gps program you want and I will give you a site were to download those GPS programjust go to www.mobile9.com

    3.) Your number three question what is the meaning of SMS threaded views my answer is that when you send a message to a friend, and he responds to you, you can still see the message you sent to him. As if it's a chat box.

          Keme;

          Sorry! for the late reply and I mean set your transport to Automatic and your select netwok to Internet and if your streaming player does not work again my advice is try the Skyfire browser that Cloudx_23 has given to you and about the digital frame you must click the "Select" after setting your 100SSCAM picture to photo folder and after that your 100SSCAM picture will apear... message me again ok my friend Keme if you have any problems

                I just sold my iPhone a week ago and I bought Omnia II "AGAIN" last saturday.
                This is the second time I bought this phone, how silly I am. :x
                I prefer Omnia II to iPhone.
                I use iPhone for 2 weeks and it sucks.
                I just love the design, very great sensitive touch and the entertainment, that's all.

                  Althought the omnia i8000 official WM6.5 Rom r a bit bulky, but the applications r all running smooth....
                  The touch sensitivity just almost like the iphone touch, but sometimes only a small lag, overall is worth it to buy....

I did a little search and it seems that it is winmo 6.5 :D I am a Nokia user for years but now I feel the need to change the brand. They simply don't have a phone (yet)for me.The N900 is simply too expensive and bulky.Anyway, I hope I won't be disappointed by this phone because I'll spend 390-400 euro on it. :)

                                        I have 6.5. It comes now pre-installed on new Omnia II in Australia. I also have (wife now) a Omnia II with 6.1. There is very little difference between the two and as far as performance is concerned - none. I run SPB Mobile Shell over the top anyways....and yes - Samsung are ignorant! I too wrote emails requesting information on the upgrade. No reply. I then rang Optus who put me through to Samsung - they said call back in two weeks - so if you are interested in the number in Australia to call to find out when? 1300 362 603.
