omnia i8000 is better than its rival htc hd2 & i phone 3gs.more storage,more battery backup,looks,feature & weight etc.

but again, the 20 stars is for security but it is still the number you have entered(6numbers)
you have to make sure wither IMAP or POP3 protocol the gmail uses,and enable that in your device and from your desktop browser in the gmail settings
and last, choose the type of connection
wither wifi(the internet) or cellular(GPRS) that you want to use to receive your emails ;)

sandnigga, 05 Apr 2010not able to use outlook e-mail:( when I type my 6 character... morethe device shows 20 stars just for security,but the real password is what you have typed (6 numbers),and when you need to connect to gmail or yahoo you must make sure that the email server uses IMAP or POP3 protocol, for the gmail you have to check it also from your desktop browser and enable IMAP in gmail setting.
one more thing; you have to choose your connection type that your device uses to check your emails online whither using the internet(wi-fi)or SIM company (GPRS)...that is all what i know ;)

Omnia II is the one of my greatest phone I ever had. Display is perfect. I love the way I play music on this phone. Album art is big n there is WoW-HD, makes sound really clear. It plays Dvix too! 5mpx is enough, and the dual flash is good as Xenon. there is still a good pictures eventhough in dark room.

it's the greatest phone I've ever had
and for this time..
I think this phone is perfect enough
you don't need the fastest processor, the biggest RAM whatsoever
It's still a 'phone', but of course with a great capability

not able to use outlook e-mail:( when I type my 6 character long password of my gmail account and press next and go back to cross check my password it automatically gets 20 characters long i.e i can see 20 stars (*) where as my password is only 6 characters long and even if i authenticate my password again it gives me error that my password is incorrect, which i have crossed checked on my desktop is ok. what am I supposed to do.

RAM is were you can only see the programs running on your RAM and there in the RAM is were you can end task the programs that is running on your phone OMNIA II and if you install programs like Garmin or any kind of software programs there will be decreased in your MAIN STORAGE not in the RAM, and the MAIN STORAGE has 512mb and the built-in programs inside your OMNIA II occupies 430mb so it has still free memory about 78.26mb something but if you install a program like Garmin the free memory which is 78.26mb will be decreased and message me again my friend if you have question and this is my complete answer to your question... thank you

hi samsung 4 life.... m a great fan of omnia 2...
i bought o2 last week... i not yet install any extra software like garmin or anythn.. its still new.. when i check my memory status the total ram is 256MB.. free RAM memory is about 22MB only... if i install garmin or any other software, if i run it means, the ram memory will be decrease or wat? the ram is program memory right? please help me out... if i use media player the ram memory lower than 22MB... how to handle this problem my friend?
