i've been experiencing such to (small icons with big folder at the back. it looks very different from the preinstalled icons/widgets? how do we solve this? anyone...

hi guys, i've been using this for 2 weeks and it realy gives me satisfaction but i am wonderin', is there a program to change icons/shortcut widgets in productivity, internet...of installed programs? coz i've installed games/apps but the program icons are smaller with a big folder icon in the back of it.

Hi....I've been using this fone for 2 weeks now....but I noticed after the New Year Holiday....this fone keeps on hanging...right after 0035 hrs of 2010....Is this another a " Mellinium Bug for CP's...?

Happy New Year Folks. Here in Aus we have new years first on the planet.Thats probably why we are far more advanced than anwhere else, haha.
Anyway , this'll be my last post on here (Iknow you dont care) and I just want to tell prospective buyers of omnia 2 of my experiences with this phone.
I bought mine at Vodafone Newcastle area ( it was the first handset they got in),I paid 250 odd up front to knock off handset monthly payments,and am now paying 60 bucks a month for $320 calls and 500 mb
data per month.THey also gave a 16 gig card for half price, so now I have 24 gig of storage.
After charging (that agonizing wait)the first thing i noticed was the amoled screen ,what a beauty, what a surprise (was like the first time my old fella got pulled out by a hand that was not mine)so crystal clear and vibrant.Trust me ,there is nothing wrong with the screen as some people have stated , I don't know what they're talking about.
Samsungs touchwiz 2 is pretty good,(not great) but pretty good. After installing a few necessities like Resco explorer and photo manager( which by the way is a brilliant upgrade)my device is now near perfect and does exactly what I want.
There is so much software out there, this device is extremely customizable.

tried using this phone for 4mths..finally selling it off. Not that WM6.5 isnt good..just the samsung sw isnt that friendly in this phone.

Hello everyone!!!i just started using this phone..i put in my owner information and now whenever i start my phone from standyby the owner information pops up before the start menu..how do i disable the owner information from popping before anything else..?thanks in advance!

Looks like the omnia pro (by the spec sheet )is close to omnia 2 except has keyboard,which in turn means much fatter and heavier. Comes down to personal choice I guess,,,I find having the keyboard on screen (omnia 2)is fine,but I'm not a yuppie (texting every 5 minutes) person.

shean,i think we have same problem of this fone.my fone got no signal.they replace the unit with new motherboard.i think this is the weakness of this fone!!!!!!!!!!!!im frm.philippines.

i bought this unit last nov.17,09.i takecare so much of this fone coz its.very expensive.on dec.24,09 d signal of this fone gone.since d fone has 1yr.warranty i bring it to the samsung office.and now after 1wk.of service the fone is still in repair!they told me the motherboard is corrupted they replace it by new but still the fone is not responsing to the software they install!!!what a heck!!to all prospect buyer of this unit pls.think of it b4 u buy this fone!!!!im so angry of this fone!!im a first time user of samsung fone saddenly im frustrated why i choose this fone!!!!!!!!!!damn fone!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not a novice, I'm an engineer. I also see well. I just wanted to share my sincere opinion over OLED screen technology which I myself hoped for better and at least for now it is not. For now, the only benefit for AMOLE over TFT is a larger view angle and contrast but that is irrelevant, the phone is not a TV set, it is supposed to be kept in your hand oriented towards your face when it is used. Now get the fifth reason: the power consumption is still higher for AMOLED than a modern TFT having each pixel emitting light than several LEDs for all TFT screen (in background). The sixth reason; the aging is not uniform: because each pixel on AMOLED is emitting light some get burnt out faster due to theme design which uses more lit pixels for some parts then when you occasionally wish to have a uniform background you'll see spots. Maybe in future the OLED technology will improve and get better than TFT but right now it is not.
