For your nub argument of life span, FYI if you have it on 24/7, OLED will last you atleast 5+ (LCD gives you 15+), but if you plan on using a god dam phone for more than 5 years then stop reading Mobile Blogs...

Do you know whether the commenters on this site have seen the amoled screen or not , do you. It amazes me how some no hopers assume something and then state it as fact. That really shows a small ,non calculating mind.
Firstly, the screen is actually brighter than LCD,
Secondly, there is no lines between pixels ,
Thirdly, my screen is as fast as,
My opinion is ( now I will make an assumption ) that you are an isheep user and your dirty because you wasted your money on iphone junk.

Im having problem with the landscape messaging..my omnia II stucks to portrait when im in Messaging. Its already updated to winmo 6.5. Are having the same problem too? thanks. Im from Philippines.

I checked today the performance of AMOLED at a Verizon store in California studying the new Omnia 2 which has 480x800 pixels, quite high resolution, recently released here. It is a disaster. All fuss and bells about AMOLED is due to the fact that most commenters didn't actually see one AMOLED screen with their eyes and just suppose it may be better being a newer technology. It is not better than any LCD-TFT classic screen. First it is much, much dimmer. Second and very, very annoying it is that you can see a distance between adjacent pixels, it looks like you see the screen image through a very fine web of wires. Third, it is slower, the screen has lower response than modern LCD-TFT screens. Forth, its life time is shorter than any LCD screen and more fragile at mechanical shocks. Don't rush to pay extra dollars for something you didn't examine with own eyes.

I have been using the Omnia 2 for a month and so far its been 9/10.
When I upgraded to Winmo 6.5,battery power became efficient.Stand by last up to 5 days without charging. The secret is to put the brightness to auto - this conserve energy pretty much.Best Phone of 2009

Hello everyone!!!i just started using this phone..i put in my owner information and now whenever i start my phone from standyby the owner information pops up before the start menu..how do i disable the owner information from popping before anything else..?thanks in advance!

i have a problem in this phone.. i have this phone last october and i used this for 5 days.. i dont have any problem yet but at the 5th - 6th day my signal is reducing into 1 and suddenly no service.. i do have now only for 1 signal i cant send sms and even call mostly i no signal now at all.
i changed already the network and connection settings into automatic but still no changes.. still no signal and service from diffferent networks..
anybody knows whats the problem??

walker, 29 Dec 2009Yeap got a problem as well with my Symbian OS phone transfe... moreThe problem with copying to sim card is, if there are multiple numbers on one name, it will be broken down into 5 entries which becomes very cumbersome. Also I dont know how one can copy sms... any solutions??
