I bought my omnia2 2 months ago and I can say that is the best phone ever. The touch is wonderful I never use a stylus in my omnia2.

For anyone thinking of buying this handset.
I would say based on a weeks experience you will be well happy with it.
Couple of things you may not know about it:
In landscape mode the qwerty key are a very good size and typing is easy.
Touch the small icons say for battery at the top of the screen and the set becomes larger for easy use. I have not needed the stylus one yet.
You can vary CPU performance.
Not all email attachment formats are handled.
There is no GPS software, despite Samsung UK misleading website.
You may need anothre case, the one that comes with it is rather tight and a bit cheapo.
You will need to spend some time setting the thing up, this is one sophisticated bit of kit.
Screen and battery life are amazing.

Guys ,
I do have a problem detecting stereo bluetooth headset [Jabra BT3030]on my omina i8000. I bough the phone with Win 6.5 on it. Simply not detecting the stereo headphone. Is this a problem with the phone or OS version ?

The phone seems to develop problems after the upgrade to 6.5. For me, the phone is working perfectly, right now. But after reading user experiences about 6.5, I am not so sure whether I will upgrade! Your positive reply has definitely helped, though.
Some other opinions about 6.5 upgrade, please.

i900 is really a good piece, the only time i have to hard reset is when i want to upgrade my firmware. battery life is 5~7 days with my little use..
i900 is very good for me to go to i8000. i will wait for omnia III or omnia hd2 (if it is with wm6.x) and i will upgrade then. check on my utube page to see why i900 is a fantastic phone.

I for one use task switcher for multitasking. And there are no bugs in the perfect phone with wm 6.5. Don't worry and upgrade confidently!

I have bought a Omnia 2 last week. WinMobile version 6.1. On the box is a sticker mentioning that the phone can be upgraded to v6.5. What is your experience with v6.5? Is everything working well? Some people are having lot of troubles after the upgrade. So much so that some have even downgraded to 6.1!!!

Some say wi-fi is not working and some have got their youtube broken! Also what is this about the phone becoming a single task machine after the upgrade?
shanp3, can you use multiple apps at the same time? For ex. can you run the touch music player in the background while you are browsing the net?
Kindly give your feedback on the 6.5 upgrade

I dont have experience with i900 but I can tell you the i8000 is good gear.The people saying it's full of bugs on this site are full of crap.I've had mine for about a month now and it is just pure joy. It's a great phone and it has enough power to handle anything you throw at it.
I'm sure people throw any old two bob programs made by people with half a brain on their device and expect it to work like a beauty.Some software is just plain old crap which will crap up your device,the same as it will with your computer. Some people think a device should be perfect, but there isn't and will never be because everyones wants are different

Is it still buggy? I'm having second thoughts on getting a just released phone.
Pros & cons vs. the Omnia i900, anyone? I was planning on getting the i900, then then new one came out. Now I'm torn.

if omnia 2 wanted to be an iphone wanna be it would have left out a lot of features and applications.I think iphone nerds are jealous.

just flashed to wm 6.5....its not laggy....smooth....its like using spb shell....and more interactive..its a good os in total...battery life is still the same
