The new Omnia 18000 clould be a very good phone, but it has a couple of problemms that are very easy to fix for the samsung techs.... will they do it??
The audio alarm for an outgoing text message can't be turned off, or even just reduced to a vibrate. This is VERY annoying to people that use texts while others are trying to rest. All other samsungs have the option to turn this off, why remove that option with the new phone???
There is still NO voice recognition for the bluetooth/handsfree app. A great many other mobiles are using WinMo6.1 or the new 6.5 due out soon for samsung, all those other phones have voice dialling that works; except Nokias, they used to have a good system but have 'fixed' it. Now its broke.
These are very easy things Samsung can fix to assist us, the customers. If everyone contacts samsung to address these and other anomalies, we will all get somewhere.
The samsung techs DON'T read this site, unfortunately, so we have to call them ... and do it persistantly.

Does anyone know when the winmo 6.5 update will be availale???? And where to go to download to my GREAT Omnia II???? I live in the US??

However good the handset, which it is, try getting one in the UK other than on orange and it is an impossibility. I am giving up and looking to another device.

How does the FM record facility work? Can you program it to record in advance automatically?

It is Windows Mobile that has the limit at 65,000, not Samsung.

How is it with 1 hand texting?
how many texts can it store?
Does it have unlimited entry for the dictionary? Or like the old samsung UI which only allowed 10 entries.
