pay, 05 Oct 2009after months of waiting, finally, i found this here in the ... morehi just want 2 ask d cost of jet there in philippines bcoz here in kuwait it cost 200 kd so if multiplied by 165 it cost 30k or more...ill be having my vacation on dec so if omnia2 cost 28k only ill probably buy that phone there bcoz until now theres no omnia2 available here in kuwait.thanks for the info.

after months of waiting, finally, i found this here in the philippines. contrary to what many said, it only costs 28k @16gb and not 35k-40k. the price made me think twice, as i thought it would be more expensive. you see, with all the feature this phone has and the cheaper price (compared to iphone), i'm sure a lot of people will be buying this one. and in a month's time, i'm gonna have to cope with the fact that almost everyone i come across with is holding the same phone. besides, i'm tired of buying craps at a high price, only to find out after a month that it's 20% cheaper. therefore, i'm saying no to this model.

omnia 2 is better than the i phone 3gs
- in terms of screen sharpness it is 3.7 amoled resistive 480 * 800 pixel so it is so far sharper .
- and about the camera good 5 mp camera is far better than 3.2 mp specially when it comes to photos not video but the cam of the i [hone is good too .
- about the battery life omnia 2 is better .
the i phone is agreat phone with the best user interface in the world but it doesn't have aflash (omg) and no secondary cam and video calling and no radio or BT file transfer which is an importana thin for me like the flash and it is bigger and heavier but if it's producers fix these problems it will be the best phone in the world with it's ui and touch sensitivity .
and finally as gsm arena wrote at the review of the omnia 2 ... the Omnia II remains a leading performer among smartphones this year ... that's it

the graphic card on iphone 3gs owns the omnia 2... its not even funny. i tried playing a video w/ d1 res with 9 mb bitrate on an omnia 2 and it was a freakin slideshow. while i can play that same video at full hd res on my iphone by using fileaid -.-
how about the better apps on iphone, i know winmo has a lot, but most of them are outdated (i had a htc touch hd RECENTLY so i know).
oh how about the video recording quality. even tho iphone 3gs shoots at vga compared to omnia 2's d1 res, the bitrate on the iphone video is way higher. the bitrate for omnia 2 video recording is about 1.1 mb/sec. while the iphone bitrate is 3.5 mb/sec.
what about the smoothness of the os? omnia 2 is a big improvement for winmo but to compare to apple os thats a joke -.-
oh and web browsers, i recall there was a test on youtube with iphone 3gs, omnia 2, and another phone. iphone 3gs was first and omnia 2 was last -.-
omnia 2 is a big improvement for winmo, but to say it is better than iphone, u may as well go dig a ditch and hide in there cuz that is something only an ignorant person would say. the only real advantage i see in omnia 2 over iphone is the amoled.
even tho the cpu is clocked higher, its arm11 compared to iphones arm6 processor. so if u converted the iphone cpu to arm11 it would be 1.2 ghz. (cortex uses same technology as snapdragon) so u sir, absolutely fail.

anyone can giv sum opinion about choosing omniaa2 or omniapro(b7610)? I like the hardware keyboard of the omniapro.. but will the difference of 0.2 inches infect much?

you are all a jerk to buy this phone because no 1 , i've tested this phone and the touchscreen is rubbish. the widget bar at the side can't even scroll down smoothly. i must really use my strength to scroll it down. and no 2 it is very thick it is thicker than the iphone 3g and the iphone 3gs. but i must say that the iphone 3g and the 3gs is faster than the omina 2. but 1 best thing that the omina have is that its camera is 5mp and it is better than the iphone camera. so if you want a fast and reliability phone get the iphone 3g or the iphone 3gs because no matter how many times you dropped it, it would still survive accept for a few scartches and cracks on the screen but the screen would still be fine. if you want a great 5mp phone camera and the lousy to use touchscreen phone and every time you dropped it on the road, the screen, will crack and you will have to send it back to the samsung center and you have to wait for 5 weeks which is what i did. so in 2010 i am planning to get an iphone 3g and i can prove it to you that it is much better than the samsung omnia 2.
