                Omnia II can really be a big gun, a killer.
                However, it's so sad that they wasted their AMOLED by just offering 65K of color. Besides, the review also stated that they have some problem browsing with flash. This two point seriously stopped me from changing my current 5800 Music Express to Omnia II. Windows Mobile....a bit scarry experience. Start-up time like taking years.
                Samsung your gun is still not powerful enough. I'm still a very happy Nokia 5800 ME user. :-p

                    Omnia II could have been a nice phone but it seems Samsung released it too early - it almost feel like, big boss said go live and developers just stopped typing and they shipped the phone. LOTS of software issues
                    1. Volume rom settings too low to hear anything
                    2. Reading in the sun is almost impossible
                    3. Email just doesn't work - you can at best see your inbox, it lists other email folders but has no way to display the content for them. Even the simple feature to choose which folders to sync is altogether missing
                    4. Samsung supports does not exist - in USA, they don't honor international support and in other locations, they don't seem to know anything - their website seems to be built by people who just got into the schools - couldn't even get graduates to build it.

                    Stay away from Samsung

                      at 117g an a better than average battery life, i would've gotten this phone. However now i use Nokia N79 and quite content with the features.

                      Im waiting for the future unborn sibling of this Omnia II. Why? Coz of Windows Mobile 7. This phone rocks, theres no doubt. But i would be quite sad to be stuck in a stopgap OS when WM7 comes out later.

                      but i hope the features stay: 3.7" and all

                          to fix omnia 2 sunlight visibility issue just turn off the auto backlight and set it manual at 50%. that is bright enough to see clearly in the sun. so it was never something wrong with the amoled screen, it was a software issue.

                                @Val
                                Sometimes the installation om the software glitches, so it doesnt really matter if you find an upgrade.

                                So what you need is to send the phone to a repairshop, let them flash the phone, and reinstall it.
                                Not just an upgrade, that almost never fix anything thats not an known issue. An upgrade just replaces some lines of code, and if your not extremly lukcy and the problem that is exclusive for your unit, happens to be in the line of code that is upgraded, the upgrade wont do it for you.

                                You clearly have some issues, that is not an issue with the OS and UI running on Omnia II please have it fixed, and stop posting that issue over and over. You might scare of potential buyers, people might actually think that the auto rotation is not avalible in the browser.

                                  Is there indentification for the incoming call? Because, I only have identification with photo (only My contacts), not by number. So, if someone calls me, on the screen shows only ,,incoming call''.
