also samusung4life, everytime i install an app its always showing on the main memory, and its almost full. when it get fulls will it automatically change to the storage memory? or i have two delete the other apps to get space?

hi guys and samsung4life,
who has already changed there housing? coz im trying to buy an original housing for my omnia 2 since i accidentally dropped it and got a huge scratch on the upper left part of it. but while ime looking for the replacement part on ebay i noticed that the case is seperated from the screen? is that right? coz i dont actually need to change the screen just the front cover since the upper left got deformed. and also on the upper left part where u can see the 16GB, is that connected to the housing or the screen? thanks! help anyone.

The post below is mine, forgot to write in my name.
Have you updated to WM6.5.3. Has it made any difference to the performance. I don`t want to update just for the sake of it. Besides Skype is not available for WM anymore. I`ve got Skype on mine and works well. I`m not sure Skype will work with the update.
Have you tried Fring. Wonder how well Fring works with WM. Any other VOIP app for phones you can recommend?

my friend thats why your phone OMNIA II is h... moreTks for the tip, Samgung4life! Deleting the cache files did help. The performance is slightly better. As the audio quality is super, I now use my set for music,phone and browsing the net only.
Your tip on using the flash as an emergency torch also came in handy when a lighting strike knocked out the main power CB at my house.

my friend thats why your phone OMNIA II is hanging always bec. the main storage is almost full and you must delete cache files after using the internet so that your OMNIA II will not hang and I agree in the part that you have said that Samsung Service Centre have stop upgrading phones to winmo 6.5.3 but they are still upgrading phones to winmo 6.5 only so the only solution to your problem my good friend is that you should know how to flash your OMNIA II to winmo 6.5.3... hopes this help my good friend

They put out a program that is not fully stable and then fix the problems based on feedback. I believe it`s the same modus operadi with WM. The number of updates says a lot for it`s operationally. You are right my friend, it is a conspiracy! A conspiracy to rob the customer blind!
Don`t get me wrong, I`m not saying the phone is rubbish! In fact I think it is a great device, but has a number of bugs. WM has introduced version 7. Will this fix all the bugs on the old version? I don`t know, because WM 7 is not available for Omina 2. Samsung has ditched WM altogether! I know for a fact WM6.5.3 itself is not available this phone. I been to the Samsung Service Center in Singapore several times for the update and not got it. Samsung is not interested in any more WM updates!

Tq for your reply. To start off, I like to call a spade a spade. I do not believe in giving any one the impression that this device has no problems, that is the wrong impression. I do not want to give the impression that this is the best phone, just because I own it! I bought this phone after a lot of research. I was given the wrong impression, cos I found not all what was said in the review is correct.
I like to take this opportunity to discuss this issues of WM being unstable. I agree if an unsuitable software is installed, it presents problems and the phone`s operation becomes unsatisfactory.
Now how would one recognize a particular software to be suitable or unsuitable? One answer is to download from Samsung authorized website. I`m sure you have more answers to this question. This being the case, would you agree Samsung Marketplace would be a safe site? After all, it`s a built in app! That`s what I thought, and had downloaded 4 softwares, Netquin being one of them. It was after these downloads the phone began to hang and work slow!
The question now is this! Are the apps at this Marketplace the `wrong software’, at least some of them? It would be careless on my part to place a blanket statement! So, some of the apps are causing the phone to hang and work slow. If they are the wrong software, why has Samsung place it on the shelf? If they all good, is there a problem with the OS???
I say again, I`ve only downloaded the softwares from Samsung Market place. It was only after these downloads the phone hangs and works slow.

For those who wants to use the Dual Led Flash as your flashlight when you in a dark area for example your entering in a theater that is dark, You can used this just follow my steps;
Step 1: Go to Phone
Step 2: enter in the dial pad *#0*#
Step 3: After your inside the LCD TEST, press the "megacam"
Step 4: After using it or if you want to close it just press the End Key near the Center Cube Button in the right...

Anonymous, 27 Sep 2010so it means the other 15,035,000 colors are not being used?My friend the other term for 65k color is "limited number of colors" ok and try searching what's the meaning of 65k color in the Yahoo so that you will have a clue and my friend eventhough the OMNAI II has only 65k color it has AMOLED that makes the color really good in terms of its pixels and when your phone is exposed to the sun in other word picture brilliant quality... hopes this helps

My friend what are you talking about the pixels sucks? and its not the pixel that sucks when your watcing movies maybe you have download a video that is not clear, surely when you watch it in your OMNIA II player surely it will not be clear but if you download a video that is clear surely the movie your watching wil be clear like mine I have download a really High Definition movies so when I watch it in my OMNIA II player the video is clear.

o2a, 26 Sep 2010can i change the OS of this omnia to Android OS?no! bec. this is a Windows Mobile phone and the OS is Windows Mobile ok but you can upragde your winmo 6.1 to winmo 6.5 / winmo 6.5.3... hope this helps...

everyone is entitled to their own opinion and when people start telling their opinions (which in fact are incorrect) on forums like this they give people the wrong impressions.
Windows Mobile is not unstable,and to say it is is just an immature falsity.Like any computer if the wrong software is installed it can become unstable but if you select the right software this phone will run without a hitch. My omnia has lots of stuff installed and it runs sweet.(if anyone wants a heads up on what works well,ask).
So please dont call this phone unstable because I know for a fact it is not.
