wat u talking about? i jst quoted someone else's post to say i share his/her sentiments... i even included quotation marks tht look like this " " see the first open's the quote n then next one tht luks jst lik the prior one ends the quote... after tht i left my comment...
next time read the post before needlessly ranting about it...
also if u r so sure i should sell the phone i bought for 570$ for it's horrible resale value of 271$ y don't u give me the difference huh?
n wat do u mean by all omnia 2's aren't created equal?
they're supposed to be created equal n stable without custom firmware n wat not... a lacking in these area's is a grieve error in the manufacturers capacity to produce n support handsets...think of a medical company selling insulin...n then saying well whoops we where actually selling refined sugar syrup!
okay lets say one ws defective.. then wat does tht make the other 4? the version of winmo on this is so bad tht those poor ppl at modoco are tirelessly working to port android to get a decent user experience... n samsung ain't even lifting a finger... u think ur omnia 2 wrks fine? jst look up the opengl driver... it's nt even being used efficiently cuz sammy didn't release a proper driver for it....so rather than fix it later they gave us winmo 6.5.3 with all the previous problems being carried forward... also all omnia 2's hav something called a hardware based fpu (floating point processing unit) tht'll smooth out the mobile even further...n guess wat the chip is completely idle..y cuz there's no driver...n it's very difficult for even the folks at modoco to code a fully functional one cuz it's complex...n let's nt get to the supposed 3d hardware accelerated gpu... so where does this leave us? either load a custom firmware n void warrenty, use the latest official firmware n suffer glitches... or sell the phone for less than half of wat we paid for it... thx to modaco there's buy it n wait 4r the android port to be finished... even microsoft is ditching this os....
thing is if this phone ws bad n u were about to spend alot of money on it wouldn't u wanna know?
oh ya last bt nt least run lcdtest.exe in the windows folder n click on the blue colour pixel test... u can see hw much of the blue pixels have faded/burnt out... especially on the status indicators like the battery n start button logo...

buj, 03 Aug 2010why samsang not update 6.5 version for omnia i 8000.in box ... morego to Tap > Start > Settings > System > Version > tap Windows Mobile ( here u can see the Original version of you Omnia II, mine here Windows Mobile 6.5 Pro( detail CE OS 5.2.21889 ( Build 21889.5.0.87 )
Processor: ARM1176 S3C6410
No problem at all , the smart phone perform very well so far :)

Had this phone for a couple of months now and I AM NOT IMPRESSED. Samsung seriously need to release an update that hopefully fixes all the problems on this model. Our company bought and imported 15 of them and we are all experiencing the same problems:
Missing calls without warning
Phone sometimes doesn't ring
Sms freezes and the send tab disappears
Predictive text function comes and goes
Problem with customization of ring tones
I seriously hope that Samsung sorts these problems out and releases a software update soon and redeems themselves because this phone has the makings of a great handset, it just needs a few minor problems ironed out.

Hi There, I have always been a 100% Nokia fan..... Since I changed to Samsung 11.... Man oh man... there never was or will be a greater phone than this. I am absolutely chuffed..... All my friends are switching tooo.....

why on earth wud samsung release a phone as unstable as this? its nt like the phone ws cheap... i had to pay top $$$ 4r this haven't they heard of Q/C? (quality control)

also everything is sub-par including the body... it's so easily damaged
then there r these weird problems where the Phone and WiFi switches disappear on screen..
this phone might have been great on android bt WinMo is jst sooo... bad...
i tolerated this phone for 4months then jst went crazy and smashed it on the floor... such a waste of money... if u love winmo jst get an HTC you'll be happy... or better yet get an Android Mobile like the I9000 or a HTC Desire...

PLEASE READ THE GUIDES CAREFULLY, as flashing your phone voids its warranty and may render it unusable in worst cases. follow the guidelines with extreme care. my omnia II became much stable, thanks to the custom ROM i'm using now.

Are you telling us my friend the only way to upgrade our OMNIA II by flashing our ROM? and Samsung Service Centre is focussing on Android and BADA OS and can you give us the link were to flash our ROM to winmo 6.5.3? waiting 4 ur reply my good friend...I hope Samsung Service Centre will still released the winmo 6.5.3 eventhough their focusing their time on Android and Bada OS bec. thats unfair bec. many people are still using OS windows mobile and whats the porposed of posting that in other websites if Samsung will not released the upgrade for winmo 6.5.3 in Samsung Service Centre this 2010...Samsung do your job and released the upgrade for winmo 6.5.3 in Samsung Service Centre that you have promised...
