guys, there is no way to upgrade to WM 6.5.3 because samsung has already stopped supporting WM platform. they are now focusing on bada OS and android, so don't expect that they will still release an official update for omnia. i am now using WM 6.5.3, but i installed a non-official firmware (ROM) by flashing my phone. if you don't know how to flash, search for answers in different WM forums or google it. my phone no longer hangs and is much more stable due to an increase in pagepool size made by the custom ROM.

I think the Singapore center has not received WM 6.5.3 yet. I did my upgrade last month and it`s WM6.5. Btw is there a lot of difference with WM6.5.3? If not, I`ll just leave mine at my present version, since everything is working well. I`m always skeptical with latest versions! I`m a big user of Skype, don`t want to do anything that might loose it, especially as Skype will not support WM anymore. So for the moment, wait and see the response from users before I upgrade.

Your welcome my friend and can I ask you a question do you have winmo 6.5.3 already in your OMNIA II bec. I went to Samsung Service Centre and they told me that the upgrade for winmo 6.5.3 for OMNIA II is not yet available but I have read in a site that they will released the winmo 6.5.3 in Samsung Service Centre this 2010?

To All OMNIA II users;
I will repeat again the words I have said, I will give some guides so that your OMNIA II will not hang always;
Guide 1: Delete programs that you have installed in your Main Storage that you don't need.
Guide 2: End or close some applications in your Task Switcher that you don't need so that your OMNIA II will not hang.
Guide 3: After browsing through the Internet or the Opera, delete te cookies, delete cache, delete history which will be seen in the Privacy of your Settings in the Opera and Internet so that it will free spaces in your Main Storage bec. if you dont delete that it will occupy the free spaces left on your Main Storage and yor OMNIA II will hang always.

Samsung centre in your city will be able to help update to WM 6.5. I`m in Singapore and got my phone updated by the Samsung Center here.

why samsang not update 6.5 version for omnia i 8000.in box cover of mobile set shows updatable to 6.5....
so painic for custmer........
it is very bad ...........

Anonymous, 30 Jul 2010I installed netqin on my omnia II but it does not scan. Whe... moreI think the scan files did not download in full. Could be due to poor signal, if you were on WiFi. Delete the file and try downloading again.
I successfully downloaded Netqin today, did the scan, works well.

tobaaco, 01 Aug 2010how can i update to 6.5.3 ???the only way to upgrade to winmo 6.5.3 is by flashing your phone's ROM with a non-official / custom ROM. samsung did not provide official update for 6.5.3, so you should learn how to flash your omnia (google it).
