It's a great little cell but once more I'm frustrated by the extremely small keyboard which makes us fat fingered folks have fits when trying to text. When is someone going to come out with a decent sized keyboard?
Samsung is beginning to show up with some superior products, including the flat screen plasma hd tv, washing machines, cell phones and household appliances. Just hope they don't go the way of Toyota.

You can upgrade your OMNIA II to winmo 6.5.3 in Samsung Service Centre just bring your Samsung warranty card so that you will not pay for the additional charges for the update of your OMNIA II to winmo 6.5.3 bec. jun has already upraded his OMNIA II to winmo 6.5.3 in the Philippines...Hopes this helps!

If your using Windows Mobile 6.5 you will see the Add Field in the Phonebook but if your using Windows Mobile 6.1 you will not see the Add Field in the Phonebook ok my friend. Hopes this helps...

My friend if you want to update your smartphone OMNIA II just follow my steps;
Step 1: Go to Settings
Step 2: Go to System
Step 3: Go to Windows Updates
Step 4: Click Check Now
Step 5: Wait for the updating to be finish
and so that your smartphone OMNIA II will not hang delete cookies and delete cache and just follow my steps were you will see it;
Step 1: Go to Opera even without internet.
Step 2: Click the 4th Arrow icon which will be seen next to a House icon.
Step 3: Go to Settings.
Step 4: Click Privacy.
Step 5: After going to privacy click Dlete Cookies and click Delete Cache and click Delete History.
Step 6: After that press the check.
Step 7: delete programs to in the Main Storage that you don't need so that your smartphone OMNIA II will not hang.

Samsung 4 Life, 03 Jul 2010Rekan; My good friend I do not know how to assign a ring... more10x for the prompt answer s4l...but the thing is that when i click on edit...there's no add field:)...all i have is delete/view all calls/send contact via beam/ send contact via vCard/add to speed dial/ add to reject list/done...so as you see, there's no add field.

My good friend I do not know how to assign a ringtone for a group of contact but I know how to assign a contact for a individual person only and just follow my steps;
Step 1: Go to Phonebook
Step 2: Click any contact number
Step 3: After that Click Menu
Step 4: Click Edit
Step 5: After that click Add field
Step 6: Find Ringtone and click the ringtone
Step 7: After that press Done

1. Can you install/find skype for I8000?...is it compatible?...
Answer: Go to www.getjar.com and get your Skype there for free
2. Can i "customize" a contact?...put it a pic, a different song than for the others?...my previous phone was SE C510(awesome phone as well) and i could do that...
Answer: yes! you can put pic and you can assign song in that particular contact just follow my steps how to put a song in that contact;
Step 1: Go to Phonebook
Step 2: Click any contact number
Step 3: After that Click Menu
Step 4: Click Edit
Step 5: After that click Add field
Step 6: Find Ringtone and click the ringtone
Step 7: After that press Done
3. and can i install swipe on it???
Answer! Maybe bec. OMNIA Ii from Verizon has Swype, just test it out
