i've just puchased my I8000, and i love it already...its awesome:D...but still, i have some questions for this phone users:
1. Can you install/find skype for I8000?...is it compatible?...
2. Can i "customize" a contact?...put it a pic, a different song than for the others?...my previous phone was SE C510(awesome phone as well) and i could do that...
3. and can i install swipe on it???

My sim card can store only one detail per name so if eg: John have office, home, and mobile, in my sim card it will be transfered to john1, john2, john3. Is it possible to just send the vcard via bluetooth?

This is really a nice phone. I struggled a lot with the original Omnia but Samsung has now come to the party, really nicely. Especially the screen is fantastic!
My question: I get a lot of emails to my gmail adress, about 50-80 per day. I have set my Omnia II to download every 30 minutes, and therefor often it has to download more than 10 emails at a time. I have it set to download only the text, not attachments. Many times the phone struggles to download the emails. It only downloads the headers, and I then have the unclick and re-click the "Message wil download next time when you send/receive" to convince it to download those messages. Can anyone please make some suggestions?

1.) Here are the steps how to transfer contacts from Nokia 5800 to OMNIA, just follow my steps;
Step 1: transfer your sim cad from Nokia 5800 to Omnia II
Step 2: After tht go to phonebook on your OMNIA II
Step 3: Click the menu
Step 4: After that click Copy
Step 5: Click sim to phone
Step 6: then open your phonebook and see if all your contacts are already transfered in your OMNIA II.
2.) and about your SMS when you insert your sim card in the OMNIA II, the messages will automatically appear in the inbox of your SMS in OMNIA II.

I have WM 6.5. If you have WM 6.5, try the ff. 1) Tap the Windows Media Player. My O2 automatically go to my songs. I just tap the song I want to hear. If yours does not do it, try 2)File Manager. You will see My Storage. Your songs might be there. If it is still not there, go to 3)File Explorer. You will see a menu which should include My Storage. Tap that and hopefully, you can find something there which has your songs. I do not know what word or words option you will see which has your songs. My songs are in Storage Card(I need a big storage area. I have, believe it or not, 4000 songs). When I tap Storage Card, my songs automatically shows up. All I have to do is tap the song I want and the Windows Media Player will play it. I hope you find. If not, keep reading this web site and somebody will help you. We are all here to help each other. Occasionally, we have a little fight but but those are signs of brotherly/sisterly fight/love. We need those once in a while. It keep us from being bored. LIFE IS GOOD. LIVE IT TO THE FULLEST.

Rekan my good friend, sorry for the late reply and if you want to upgrade your OMNIA II to winmo 6.5 my best answer to your question go to Samsung Service Centre their in middle east and bring your Samsung Warranty card so that you will not pay for the additional charges for the upgrade of your OMNIA II to winmo 6.5 ok my good friend and about your second question when you delete files from your My Storage my suggestion delete it in the File Explorer but if you want to delete a program you have installed delete it inside the Main Storage. message me again if you have problems again ok my good friend.

Follow my steps were to find yur music in the media player;
Step 1: Go to media player
Step 2: Update first your touch player by going to menu
Step 3: After going to menu click update
Step 4: After clicking the update, click the search so that it searches for the new music you have put in your My Storage
Step 5: After it finish searching click done
Step 6: After that go to ALL MUSIC from there you will see the songs that you have put in your My Storage...

trying to download 3g tv software for mtnl 3g tv (india) but the site says my phone (omnia 2)is not compatible for 3g tv viewing. SAMSUNG! whats up with that & where the hell is that upgrade to winmob 6.5 ????
dont make me blv that me moving from nokia to samsung was just a big mistake.

Hi Guys, I bought omnia the first one, I did not like it because it did not have call duration meter. Like Nokia, it shows the duration of last call,incoming,receiving call.
Is it still the same with omnia 2, no duration call meter?

First of all I would like to say Goodevening to you and well hav said and yes! you can say whatever you like to say bec. this is a free post opinion forum but you cannot dictate people from this site wheter they will purchased this smartphone OMNIA II or not bec. its not your dcision making to do and second not all of Samsung phones have defects just like mine when I bought this OMNIA II it doesnt hav defects and the My Storage is still there and sorry! if I said something that you didnt like and I made a mistake their my friend ad yes! this is a open free post opinion and you can say whatever you like even its negative or positive but you cannot judge all the Samsung phones bec. not all of them have defects that happened to you but you can share your opinion here and we will listen to you but posting WARNING and do mot buy this OMNIA II is not rite bec. people who have this smartphone OMNIA II will be upset and get angry bec. of the words you have said and let the people from this site judg this OMNIA II not only your opinion and if you dont like this OMNIA II then sell it and buy your new phone which is the Iphone is that when you buy the Iphone I hope it will not happen to you again the way that happened to you when you bought your 2 Samsung phones.Godbless and thank you for your reply my friend...peace!
